How to unlock the Looking Glass Knight achievement in DARK SOULS II: Scholar of the First Sin - Definitive Guide

This is an unmissable story related achievement. You will fight the Looking Glass Knight at the end of Drangleic Castle, which is accessed once the four primal bonfires have been lit or once you have 1 million souls (first playthrough).

The Looking Glass Knight can be difficult as he summons either an npc invader or a player invader during the fight. If he does this then you should kill them first, otherwise you wont have many openings to attack.

He is mid-speed with easy tells for his attacks. Obviously your tactics depend on your build, but I usually dance around him and poke him occasionally.

If you are a mage then you may struggle because his shield reflects your magic. However, stand close to him, do a roll to go behind him when he attacks, and then use your spells.

Thanks to mage strats from Hikaru No Go.

No pop for me, but the achievement app says "Done! Unlocking...", so I hope I will get it eventually. Anyone else? Stupid Microsoft. Still more satisfying to unlock achievements on the 360.

The same has occurred for my Gnawing Covenant achievement, I am going to leave it for a few days, and if it doesn't fix then I will just message Xbox support.

No need to light the 4 primal bonfires : I've lit only two of them (I only have 2 achievements related to this) and I can go to the Drangleic Castle. I've finished it yesterday.
And even if you play a mage (that's what I am) no problem : stand close to him, do a roll to go behind him when he attacks, and then use your spells. Can be a mage and play really close the enemy. wink

Still buggy, showing as an 100% complete secret achievement for me.

Story progression – can’t be missed. Once all of the Primal bonfires are lit you can access the Shrine of Winter in the Shaded Woods. This leads to Drangleic Castle and if you fight your way through here you will eventually end up at King’s Passage. Watch out for the horse headed statues leading to the fog gate (snipe them from afar if you can). You can find a summon sign for Benhart to the left of the gate if you spoke to him earlier, and he is pretty helpful. The Knight himself is pretty tough. He has high armour and will do rapid combos as well as using lightning attacks when he starts to lose health. When he gets down under 50% he will also summon a phantom ally from his shield, so try and take them out ASAP if you can. With an ally this fight is much easier as you can tank him early on, then retreat to get back health/stamina while he focuses on your ally. Once he dies the achievement will unlock.

Story related cannot be missed

This is the second boss of Drangleic Castle, after making your way through the Shaded Woods and opening the Shrine of Winter door you will arrive here.

The boss is fairly straight forward. You can summon Benhart if you exhausted his dialogue earlier and another NPC right outside the boss fog to help you. His attacks are powerful but he is slow and predictable. Let your NPC's take the agro and used ranged magic. Beware they do have a chance to deflect off of his mirror, though I have never experienced this myself.

Story boss in Drangleic Castle, impossible to miss. Right before entering the boss, you can summon an ally. An ally will be great at distracting him from you. You need to run up and hit him from behind. Quite an easy boss.

to get to it you need to activate the elevator near the second bonfire, in shcolar of the first sin the developers decided to troll the players and made it so that in the room where there are golems activating the elevator, the stone soldiers no longer come to life (in this room a spirit still crawls out of the wall, when you try to open the door), and therefore in order to fill the golems with souls, you need to bring Mobs from another room. in the next room after the golems there are several chests, and there two assassins jump out at you. bring them back into the room and kill the golems near them, then the elevator will work and you can find the key to the mirror knight.

Mirror Knight is able to summon not only mobs, but also players to help him. His shield reflects magic and miracles. During the summoning, it greatly increases its defense, so this time is worth spending on buffs and healing, and not on damage. If the boss has little HP left, then it is better to ignore the summoned mob; if the boss dies, he will also die. Inflicts strong electrical damage. Has a habit of turning 180 degrees during a strike. After defeating the boss, you can collect his set.

After the Drangleic Castle location there will be a mini-location Royal Passage with this boss. You can summon two phantoms, so the fight is not difficult, especially for a mage (but not for a cleric, since the boss has a high resistance to lightning).
