How to unlock the Protector Covenant achievement in DARK SOULS II - Definitive Guide

This Achievement is for the Blue Sentinels covenant. They can be found in the Heide's Tower of Flame area. There will be a bonfire just to the right as you enter, then as you follow the main path you'll reach a big, round room with three huge knights in it. You can go either left or right from here. Go to the left and follow the path to the boss. The covenant is located just after him.

Blue Sentinels are the flip-side of the coin to the Way of the Blue covenant. Whereas members of the Way of the Blue summon people to help them when they get invaded, Blue Sentinels are the ones who get summoned to help. Keep in mind that you need to put down your summon sign with the white soapstone (not the small white soapstone) and complete a co-op session (kill the boss) in order to join this covenant.

If you're unable to find anyone to join up with, a free Token of Fidelity can be found in Huntsman's Copse. EpicNameBro has a video showing where to find, right around the 26 minute mark:

Thanks to Vermigs and MugenKairo for pointing this option out!

Just wanted to point out that in order to be able to join, you have to start and complete a co-op session using the White Sign Soapstone. I kept using the Small White Sign Soapstone and he would never agree.

Good point, it does need to be the full soapstone. I'll update the solution with that, thanks.

Is there any definite place to find full soapstones?

Yep. Pate in the Forest of Fallen Giants will give you one. All you have to do is go through that gate that falls down behind you after you enter, then work your way around until you fall back down next to him from the castle wall. Talk to him again after that and he'll give you the full white soapstone.

^^^

Had you previously helped someone off a boss? It does not need to be that one, any boss will do,

The left leads to a dead end (literally) and the right has no such covenant angry

Not sure what to tell you. The covenant is right after the fight with Ornstein.

Got it. You have to kill the old knights to reveal a lever that you pull to drop the bridge to get to Ornstein.toast

Also according to the DSII wiki it is a token of fidelity that you need, not white soapstone. On NG+ there 3 NPC invaders who will drop them, or they are given with a successful White Phantom co-op.

Confirmed Vermigs comment above, simply jump across in Huntmans Copse to pick up the Token and hightail it back to Heides Tower of Flame area to the NPC to pop the achievement. Definitely the easiest offline to do.

Not sure how I missed Vermigs post before, but thanks for the reply! I'll update the solution accordingly.

They're both technically true. You need a Token of Fidelity to join the covenant, but you can only get that by having the full white soapstone and engaging in a successful co-op session.

You can find a Token of Fidelity on a pillar in Huntsman's Copse. EpicNameBro's playthrough shows the location. Jump to 26 minutes in.

This covenant is located in the Cathedral of Blue.

Good solution. I would just add that if you are playing offline or just don't feel like playing co-op, you can still get a token of fidelity. There is one located in Hunstman's Copse. It's right next to the second bonfire and requires a bit of a tricky jump to get to.

In order to get this trophy you will have to beat the optional boss Old Dragonslayer located at the top of the Heide's Tower of Flame. After you beat that boss you will be able to talk to Targray and join the covenant if you have a Token of Fidelity in your inventory. They can be obtained by co-oping and beating bosses with other players as a phantom or found in Hunstman Copse. See the video for how to beat the Old Dragonslayer:

PLEASE NOTE, YOU DO NOT NEED TO JOIN A COVENANT TO GET THE ACHIEVEMENT – JUST HAVE THE OPTION TO: Defeat the Old Dragonslayer in the Blue Cathedral (part of Heide's Tower of Flame) then speak to Targray on the balcony here. You must have at least one Token of Fidelity in your inventory to join (can find one on a ledge just below the bridge leading to The Undead Purgatory or by helping other players with the White Soapstone).

In the location Heid's Fire Tower, go to the Cathedral of the Cote d'Azur. Kill the boss there. After it, you will go out onto the balcony, on which a knight in blue armor will stand. At first he will refuse to talk to you. To convince him that you are worthy of being a knight, you need to bring him the “Sign of Loyalty”. It can be found in the world or obtained in PvP if you invade the world of a sinner using a cracked blue eye. When you receive the sign, talk to the knight and he will offer you to become a Blue Guardian. The trophy is yours.

By the way, the only “Sign of Loyalty” offline can be obtained in the Hunter’s Grove. When you pass a house with bandits, when you meet a bandit jumping out from around the corner, then from where he jumped out, you need to jump down through the abyss. You'll have to work hard

It can be made simpler. First, enter the covenant of the "humble" in Majula. Upon entering, you will be given a "blue" ring. ( ). Put it on and go to that very “blue” one. knight ( ) After talking with him, he will invite you to take the right path. Agree. Well, now you are “blue” defender. The trophy is yours.
