How to unlock the Covenant: Watchdogs of Farron achievement in DARK SOULS III - Definitive Guide

In Farron Keep (the poison swamp area), there is a tall vertical ladder next to a wall with three slugs at the base not too far from the Keep Ruins bonfire. Climb this ladder and enter the building to see the Old Wolf of Farron; interact with him to "discover" the covenant.

This is another covenant achievement that didn’t pop for me when I join the covenant. 😡

Okay so the video below shows you where to go when you reach the "Farron Keep" bonfire and takes you all the way to the Wolf of Farron, where you get the ability to join the Covenant.

but just in case you dont want to watch the video here are key notes to finding the wolf:

As soon as you walk out from the "Farron Keep" bonfire you will notice ruins of what look to be bridges, Keep on the right hand side of these and run straight

once you reach the final bridge you will see items over to your right (one will be a sunlight talisman, and the other is a Estus Soup so you can heal up)

Just past those items there is a ladder leading up, climb it and find your way inside and bingo

interact with the wolf and ask to join the covenant and there you have it achievement unlocked

Finding the Watchdogs of Farron is quite simple, all you need to do to begin this the easiest way is to get to the Keep Ruins bonfire. What follows are some simple directions, no video needed.

Starting at the Keep Ruins bonfire; turn to the exit that does not contain enemies and head outside then down the bridge you'll see nearby. You'll know it's the correct bridge because in the distance you'll see an ominous door flanked by candles and junk.

About halfway down, turn to your right and you will see a nearby tower with slug enemies all over and inside it. Walk around this tower until, on the right side, you'll see a wall that leads to a small lit area with more slug enemies. There is a lit lantern so it is very hard to miss! They are surrounding the base of a tall ladder, so clear them out or roll through and climb up the ladder. Once at the top you can head to the right and you'll find a small doorway, inside which is another bonfire and the Watchdogs of Farron covenant leader.

Simply walk up to the giant wolf, kneel and ask to join the covenant. That should pop the achievement.

To obtain the Watchdogs of Farron Sigil, you need to pray to the Old Wolf of Farron in Farron Keep.

Near the end of Farron’s Keep, by the door you open by snuffing out the flames, is a tower full of slugs and next to that a ladder surrounded by more slugs. Head up this ladder and interact with the Wolf at the top. You need to get this Covenant to Rank 2 in order to acquire a unique ring, which requires 30 Wolf’s Blood Swordgrass.

You get two in the swamp area and can acquire others by fighting off interlopers or farming the Ghru enemies. Spawn at the Keep Bonfire and kill the Ghru Caster and Spearmen on the bridge in front of you – rinse and repeat. The drop rate is roughly one in thirty if you have the Symbol of Avarice, Golden Covetous Serpent Ring and use a Rusted Coin.

Located not far from the bonfire in front of the boss: Guardians of the Abyss, Lords of Ash

Watch the video on how to get there

For 10 blades you get a Weapon - "Old Wolf Curved Sword"
For 30 blades you get a Shield - "Wolf Knight Greatshield" and a Ring - "Wolf Ring"

Farm bloody blades. 3 enemies are standing right next to the fire.

Farm pale tongues and bloody blades, with a shielded golden serpent ring and a mimic's head. 1-2 resources in 5-10 minutes!

In a certain situation, Hackwood does not kill the dog, and Covenant is available until the very end of the game, there is a chance to enter in time.

What did I wear so that there was a chance of getting the necessary loot:
1)Golden ring of the greedy serpent
2)Silver ring of the greedy serpent
3) In his left hand he took the Rapier of an expert in crystal enchantments
4) in your right hand your sword and pyromancer’s glove, with the fiery son of chaos skill
5) on the head Sign of Greed (Mimic Box)
Location - Ruins of the citadel (a fire where three Husks are sitting with their backs to you)
Tactics - first burned them with pyromancy, then finished them off with a sword, went to the fire and started again, it took about 3 hours to fill 30 swords. If it seems like a long time to someone (in fact, it is), plus the fact that you will farm a very good number of souls. Personally, I collected about 2 million souls while farming)))

I'll add some advice from myself. I managed to farm 18 blades in just an hour of play. I did this - on the border of the Farron citadel, as shown in the video in one of the tips, we chop the husks. The set is standard - a chest on the head and a serpent ring. As soon as the blade falls out, save and exit the game. To the main menu of the system. Those. completely close the game. We start the game again and start farming. The blade falls out during the first three passes. Save again and exit the game. So farming takes very little time. If you don’t leave the game, you can run around the location for an hour and not knock out a single blade.

I’ll add on my own behalf, if you’re level 39-41 stupidly go into the covenant, in an hour of calls you’ll fill all the blades, well, maybe in an hour and a half, a lot of covenanters will join in to help, so you won’t beat the host alone.

I’ll add that farming without rings and a mimic’s helmet is virtually useless, well, only if your luck is very strong. + I will add that in half an hour I knocked out two tongues, BUT not from these husks or whatever, but from the dark knights, those who walk in front of the entrance to the Guardians of the Abyss (there are two of them), at the same time farm their set and red ones)

Found before the boss Guardians of the Abyss in the swamp, near the Wandering Demon - the head of the covenant looks like a large black wolf. Let's enter.
It is easy to farm herbs for the covenant in the Ruins of the fortress in the same swamps (there is one of the torches nearby for opening the gate to the boss) - there are 3 Husks on the bridge (2 with a spear and one magician) - we kill them, return to the fire and farm again.

For easy and fast farming: Helmet of Greed, Rapier of the crystal enchantment expert, Golden ring of the snake (all this can be acquired already on NG+, after beating the normal game), pumped up Luck.
Sometimes summoned as a phantom to kill a host
