This will be the first achievement you can earn.
You begin in a cell in the Undead Asylum. Pick up the Dungeon Cell key from the corpse on the ground and exit the cell, following a linear path that eventually leads up a ladder and out into a courtyard. Here you will the first of many bonfires.
Interact with it and the achievement will unlock.

I simply love the fact that this is listed as missable. I can't imagine not using bonfires to fast travel.

This will be the first trophy you earn, pick up the Dungeon Cell Key from the corpse and leave the cell.
Follow the path and go up the ladder until you enter a courtyard.
Find the first Bonfire in front of you, interact with it and the trophy will pop!

A simple achievement acquired through normal progression, this will likely be the first achievement you unlock.
Chosen Undead, you awake locked away in a damp cell, having been trapped there after being entranced to the north. Crash! A deceased hollow has dropped from the ceiling; a mysterious knight has left a key inside. This is your gateway to leaving your cell.
Your straight sword has been shattered to pieces and can barely cut through the hollows that line the dark hallway. Stayed any longer and you would've followed the same fate as those lost souls.
Where the hallway recedes, a small section ofnourishing water can be found, with another hollow sitting cross-legged. Goes to show even some haven't gone completely insane.
Take a brief wash, then head to the chute, the ladder is currently your only means of escape. Having harvested all the souls from the bloodshed, the means of recuperation for those eliminated resides in the courtyard, the magical bonfire. A place of rest and consolidation, and where you, Chosen Undead, can restore the little humanity you have left, with time. These will come in handy on your long journey, in pilgrimage.
