How to unlock the Demolition Derby achievement in Dark Void - Definitive Guide

Definitely use the method provided by Sharuyin.

I want to add that I found if I went to the center of the fighting area and flew around in a tight circle I crashed a lot. I think the fighters just came up close.

I held the brake (x) and kept the stick to the left (or right I guess) hard. That kept me in a tight circle with nothing major to crash into - except other ships...which is the whole point of this one. I know I was missing a few and I got the last ones in just a minute or two within doing this.

Good luck and let me know if it works for you too.

This was the last achievement I got in this game and I just flew around in circles for about ten minutes. I don't think it was a fluke.

Cool! I got stuck with the Grease Monkey achievement glitch!!! Drove me nuts, and I tried all the solutions. I even wrote Capcom. They basically said - too bad.
So no 100% completion for me. Argh.

Worked like a charm, I'm playing the game on the PS3 and out of all the sites I've been to, this was the best solution for probably one of the most annoying achievements I have done in a long time. Thanks .

I found this doable on the mission "Breaking Camp" where you're defending the Ark at home port. You'll have to defend against a wave of about 9-10 UFO's then 3 Transports, after the 3rd wave you're sent to grab a gun to power the generator. Don't do it, as you are back at an air defense wave that doesn't end. This is the perfect place to get all your ship based achievements done, including this irritating Demo Derby one. Steal a UFO and start trying to smash into the hostile ones flying around. Take your time, it'll be a little while, but you'll eventually bag it.

I did this one on "Breaking Camp". There are lots of UFO's to knock into. The easiest technique for me was to get one following and shooting at me then use a turnaround maneuver. This puts you facing your attacker and from here just try to hit him. Turbo seemed to make it a little easier leaving less time for your target to veer off.

I am pretty sure you must hijack a UFO to get the achievement. It will probably take a few times respawning to get the full 10 collisions. By the time I got 10 I was pretty good at making contact and I did it just as I posted... Good Luck

I hate these type of random achievements. I opted for the rubber band method. I loaded up Episode 2, chapter 4 'Breaking Camp' on casual, jacked a UFO. Find some clear air space near the Arc, pull back on left stick, crossover a rubber band to it and then the left grip, then watch telly. Every so often I'd check on it to see if I'd been killed and jack another UFO if so. It took a couple of hours to complete. I may have just been lucky, but what is luck if not trial + time. smile

This is best done by Hijacking a UFO. See Grand Theft UFO on information on how to hijack one. Once you have Hijacked a UFO simply just collide with 10. This is best done on Chapter 2-5 Breaking Camp as there are 50-60 UFO's.

See Grand Theft... UFO? for info on hijacking a UFO.

This trophy is easily acquired during the Breaking Camp chapter. When the chapter starts, hijack an enemy UFO. Fly the UFO in a circular pattern and you should occasionally collide with other UFOs. You do not need to collide with the same UFO ten times, just any UFOs a total of ten times. If you die, you will restart at the beginning of the chapter where you are free to try again.

The trophy will unlock as soon as you accumulate ten successful collisions. The collisions accumulate over the entire game, and still count if you die/quit after performing one. This is also a good time to get the Grand Theft... UFO? trophy.

There will be a mission where you will fly with a backpack on your back...., Capture a UFO and fly while controlling it to other enemy UFOs. You have to jump out in time before the collision

And so on until you receive the Achievement.
