How to unlock the Float Like a Butterfly achievement in Dark Void - Definitive Guide
this achievement has to do with whenever a watcher form grabs you and you have to move the left toggle stick right and left until you escape. i found the best time to grind this cheev was episode 2 chapter 3 (thanks to DJ Mercenary) when youre breaking the survivors out of jail, two knights will come at the end. if you get close enough to either of these knights, they will snag you with their tail and you have to toggle your way out of it. just keep on letting them catch you with their tail and keep on toggling out of it and the cheev will pop for you

This works perfectly. And it seemed like the best place to do it. You get in a battle every time you jack a UFO. But they don't seem to count. This was the perfect spot to get this. I had to do it 7 times, so 3 times somewhere else it worked as well. I wish I could say where.

A melee attack you can escape from is when you are grabbed by an enemy, and you are prompted to waggle the left stick to escape. This will likely come through regular play.
It is quite random that you get into the animation. Sometimes the enemies will just punch you, or continue you to shoot you, but there are lots of enemies to fight in close quarters that can grab you.
NOTE: This does not include the wrestling when hijacking a UFO or an Archon.

Occasionally, when you are near an enemy, they will pick you up and a "Toggle Left Analog Stick" icon will appear. Toggle the left analog stick back and forth to escape the hold, then perform a melee attack to kill the enemy. It seems to have a better chance of happening if you sprint at the enemy.
Peform this ten times over the course of the game. You can achieve this through normal play, although you may have to replay a chapter in order to get all ten. It only happened to me about six times during my initial playthrough. The kills accumulate over the entire game, and still count if you die/quit after performing one.
To Escape a Enemy Melee Attack you will need to get close to an Enemy and let them go grab you. The game will then notify you to press left to right or vice-versa to get out of the Enemy grabbing you. This seems to be a random occurrence and there is no way to make the enemy grab you. This counts for Soldiers and the Slug type enemies.
