How to unlock the Slap on the Wrist achievement in Darkest Dungeon II - Definitive Guide
Okay, I probably went a bit overboard when stacking ways to increase the Duelist's riposte damage, but I was able to hit big numbers pretty reliably with this setup. I used Intrepide Duelist (the last one unlocked) because I was not getting the achievement with the other paths and I mastered Preparation and Meditation. Second, I had a Nightsworn Grave Robber with Repartee. Third was Virtuoso Jester with Encore that I used on the Duelist, but I don't think it really matters. Lastly, I used Seraph Vestal with Consecration of Light. In order to make this even easier, I put the cultist trinket Wounding Words on Duelist.
I essentially used the Duelist as a dodge tank, by opening with Preparation. I used Encore on her with Jester, but it isn't necessary. Vestal used Consecration of Light on Duelist's position, and Grave Robber would wait until Duelist had a second turn before using Repartee. On Duelist's second action use Meditation, followed by Grave Robber's Repartee. Preparation gives her strength and aggressive stance, while Mediation gives her dodge and riposte as long as she is in aggressive stance. Repartee uses taunt on the Duelist, and she starts dodging attacks. She gets a buff when enemies miss her, so alternate between Preparation and Meditation. Due to the masteries, you should be able to alternate them every round.
I am sure there are a few different ways to get her to riposte for 20 damage, but this worked for me during the third region. It takes a bit to get masteries, trinkets, and the like. Hopefully, it works for you guys too.

I had this achievement in the back of my mind but I got it randomly while trying out a new team and it popped on the Warlord of all enemies. This doesn’t require changing paths or trinkets and is very simple.
Use the Occultist, Jester, and Duelist. Front line doesn’t matter. Upgrade the Duelist’s Preparation of course and pop that. The Jester’s Battle Ballad will give the Duelist an extra 50% damage token if necessary. Upgrade Slice Off which will add a Vulnerable (+50% more damage taken) token. The Occultist also can apply Vulnerable x2 with Vulnerability Hex. I didn’t even have to use Meditation on the Duelist cause I already had Riposte applied from Feint.
As you can see I got this without Vulnerable applied as Warlord had previously resisted it
With a damage token plus Vulnerable you will consistently crit over 20. If you’re in Aggressive stance you get the guaranteed crit and if you’re in Defensive stance you’ll get another 50% Riposte damage which can also crit. The Vulnerability Hex can remove Block from an enemy if needed.
