How to unlock the This Belongs in a Museum achievement in Darkest Dungeon II - Definitive Guide
The antiquarian is a miniboss that appears pretty rarely. She can only appear in road battles with the pillager faction, and only when your inventory is over 70% full. Even when those conditions are met she appears only about 10% of the time. To my knowledge, confession level (difficulty) does not modify this chance.
Finding her is the hard part - compared to most minibosses, like the Collector and Warlord, she is not difficult to kill. She does little damage on her own, preferring to manipulate her own team and your team with various buffs and debuffs. These are little more than an annoyance and if you have a team of 4 healthy heroes she is an easy fight; my only recommendation would be to have some plague resistance if you're specifically looking for her. My first time fighting her, at first I didn't even realize she was in the pillager's party, I was just kind of autopiloting through an easy road fight and then I noticed they were casting strange abilities on me.
Killing the antiquarian is worth it due to the trinkets she drops. They all require you to be fairly rich with relics or baubles, but are typically worthwhile.
