How to unlock the Bomb Technician achievement in Darkest Of Days - Definitive Guide

There are 2 ways of getting this. You can on the WW1 mission "Germans on run". This mission is available right after the tutorial level. Right at the start of the level you will see crates on the left side. There are frags right on top of those crates. Walk up to it to pick up the frags. Toss a frag on the floor in front of you with B and walk up to it. Wait a few seconds for it to explode. Once it explodes you will die. Achievement unlocked.

For the impatient people who want the achievement as soon as possible you can do it on the tutorial mission. Frags are the second thing you learn in this level. Toss one in front of you and wait.

no you cannot get it on tutorial as of june 11 2011 i spent two minutes throwing gernades at my feet on the tutorial and did not die

Panther is correct. This cannot be gotten in the tutorial.

Confirm that, even on chest hair difficulty, the game won't let you frag yourself in the tutorial.

Stare at the ground and throw a grenade at it (Press B). The grenade will blow up and kill you.

no you dont rent it. i mean the idea is great but not very well executed gameplay wise. achievements easy though
