So do these coordinates not change from game to game? I'm not at home to verify this myself or anything. If this is accurate then I won't have to worry about hunting down those scrolls anymore! Positive vote though.

The coordinates do not change from game to game so you don't need to worry about going the wrong way

Are the secret coordinates important in any way or can I just skip them? Or does using a secret count instead of normal coordinates?

That weapon you can get in the secret room of level 5 is AMAZING. It is definitely worth going for. Its health stealing ability outdoes the enemy damage a lot of the time so there's considerably less worry about dying. I was able to spam my way through levels with that weapon's ability. Perhaps you should emphasize the weapon's usefulness a bit more? Great guide nonetheless.

That weapon is the Black Demise, a legendary weapon, and most likely the 1st weapon which gives health stealing at 10% in the 1st playthrough.

What this solution fails to point out is that you need to find all the scrolls with the directions on before you attempt this. If you don't have the relevant scroll, following the directions will get you nowhere.

Hmm, well can you explain what I'm doing wrong then? When I checked my inventory I had scrolls 1-5 and following the directions got me to a staircase. When I tried this for 6, the first level whose scroll I didn't have, after going S E E N N, I just ended up in another fight. I tried this twice with the same outcome both times.

You might want to include that there is a Mystic Stonebite collectible near the end of floor 7. It helps those who are looking for them.

Soul Arbiter battle: be level 22, 5+5 potions, pistol, fully upgraded teleport slash, little bit of melee, a million rolldodges. Maybe a few zombies for distraction.

I can confirm that above comment is true, you don't HAVE to find scrolls just follow the guide above.

OK this should be clear that if you take the secret route it doesn't take you to the next level. You still have to go back and do the regular route. Pain in the ass....

Hi all, when you refer to "secret" e.g secret, N, N, what do I actually have to do for the secret part? Am I shooting a hidden switch/finding a secret doorway in the area other than N,S,E,W?

I'm currently working my way through this. I fast travelled out to get some potions, and I came back, and it said I'd completed the first 4 levels. When I go back in, am I on level 5, or back at the start of level 4?

Thanks for all door directions. I stopped going for the secret chests after I acquired the Black Demise scythes. At that point I just wanted to finish the maze, and the final boss. BTW, I didn't find all the scrolls before I entered the maze, and I made it through using the directions stated in the solution. Cheers!!

Allow me to add a little more info:

1. The maze can be challenged quite early, before fighting Basileus and Achidna, but a higher level is recommended. I completed it at level 17.

2. A health stealing Scythe is available before entering level 6. It can greatly increase survival chance for underlevelled players.

3. You can quit the maze from level 1 to 10 at any time to buy potions, but to continue you need to read the book at the entrance and select the latest level to continue or you need to start again from level 1.

4. Once entered level 11, the boss fight level, you cannot quit the maze. Either win or die.

5. The toughest part of the boss fight is when he cast an invincible shield around him and summons a General to fight along. Reaper form is suggested to bring down the General. For underlevelled players, a high execution chance can increase instant kill possibility to kill the General

The Arbiter’s Maze is located in farthest East-Northeastern corner of The Maw, in the Kingdom of the Dead realm. It is comprised of ten different arena based levels, each of which must be navigated through by using portals after each successful wave. Once you have completed all of the waves on a specific level AND successfully found the exit, you will move on to the next level. There are also secret rooms on each level, but they are not required for the trophy.

There is also a side quest given by the Chancellor at the Eternal Throne, which asks you to kill the Arbiter on level 10. You need to complete it for the The Secondary Adventure trophy so don't forget to pick it up.

In order to complete the maze with ease there are 20 Arbiter’s Scrolls scattered throughout the game. Each one tells you a route you must take to reach the exit or a secret on a respective floor. However, there is no trophy or side quest directly related to the scrolls, so you can just use the following directions to navigate it successfully:

Level 1 (Declination)
Exit: N - W
Secret: S - E

LVL 2 (Apprehension)
Exit: E - S - N
Secret: N - N

Level 3 (Opposition)
Exit: W - E - N - N
Secret: N - S - E

Level 4 (Separation)
Exit: E - W - N - S
Secret: W - E - N

Level 5 (Deception)
Exit: W - W - N - E
Secret: W - N - S

Level 6 (Isolation)
Exit: S - E - E - N - N
Secret: E - E - E - S

Level 7 (Revulsion)
Exit: S - W - E - E - E
Secret: S - S - W - N - N

Level 8 (Inversion)
Exit: N - W - N - W - E
Secret: N - S - S - E - N

Level 9 (Benediction)
Exit: E - N - E - N - S
Secret: S - W - E - E - N

Level 10 (Ascension)
Exit: W - E - N - S - W
Secret: N - S - E - W

It could be simpler: in the hall where the book is, go into the parameters and lower ONLY the music level by 2 points. Then we exit through CONTINUE and now you can go into the book

I’ll add a little to the previous advice: when fighting with a judge, keep the settings at a minimum, otherwise it may freeze

people, if your game freezes completely when you press -read the book then do this:

1. We go to the room where the book is.
2. We make the save ourselves through the options.
3. Completely exit the game in XMB.
4. Load the game.
5. Approach the book until the icon appears .
6. Pause and go to options.
7. Disable all checked boxes (vibration, automatic collection of items, and so on).
8. Completely turn off all three sliders in sound effects.
9. Completely lower the gamma.
10. Exit the menu (the game will make a save).
11. Activate the book.

Thanks a lot for the method FaNToM1

Be sure to take the “Black Death” scythes from the cache at level 6, which will make it easier to navigate the labyrinth, and in general will save your nerves in the future
