How to unlock the Eat Your Heart Out achievement in Darksiders III - Definitive Guide
I'm playing on Apocalyptic difficulty and was REAL glad to see the 2nd phase looks pretty easy, (as opposed to the Lust battle) I basically just gotta get him to half health...
First phase is a standard affair, dodge and attack when you can don't get greedy, slow and steady is the key to this fight.
The second phase is actually really simple, activate your gravity power so you can walk on the floor rather than swim, then when the boss starts sucking just grab the bombs and let him suck them instead of you. Don't make the mistake I made the first few times and take them too close, for some reason this stops them from been sucked in, just pull them slightly from their spawn point to a more central position and let him kill himself.
Story-related; unmissable.
Combat tips: Flame Hollow Salvation charge is key here. When Gluttony starts spitting acid at you, run towards him and run around him. This will cause his spits to be cut short. When he tries to inhale you, rapidly spam towards the screen; that's how you'll avoid those attacks. Now, when he starts to whip his tentacle at you, head towards the nearest wall, his reach will not hit you. Charge your Flame Hollow Salvation as when the tentacle stops, toss it and hold for a nice combo attack. Once he reaches 50% health, the battle moves under water.
Once under water, swim towards the homing mines on both sides of the area, and get close enough for them to follow you. Then swim towards Gluttony so that it'll start to inhale you. This way it'll swallow the mine. Only one mine is necessary as it causes the same damage if it inhales two of them but bait both to him in case he doesn't inhale one. When he is down, swim up to him and press .
For a very long time in the second form, the boss did not start his water hickey - because he stood far away from him. We swim as close to the mouth as possible - and then after the “bomb”
