this as many other achievements can be obtained cumulatively in several playthroughs, as long as they are NG+ on the same save slot

Redemption, Mode
Slivers of Adamantine are collected throughout the game from the ground, found in breakable objects or dropped by defeated enemies. Vulgrim also sells them at the serpent holes later on in the game as this method also counts as "collecting" them. They are worth 800 souls at serpent holes. Equip the enhancement Marauder to a weapon to make them appear more often.
