How to unlock the Keeper of Colossal Automata achievement in Darksiders III - Definitive Guide

When you finish all four wings, you get access to the final boss of the DLC, Ionos (the central column will rise, opening a portal).

The boss is quite difficult even on STORY difficulty. His stomp attack especially is quite devastating.

To defeat him easily, I suggest entering the arena with a full HAVOC meter and a few HAVOC shards ready. Beat the hell out of him, then recharge havoc with a readied shard (careful not to get one-shot with one of his stomp attacks) and rinse and repeat.

It helps if you have the Panoply of Champions armor, since it more than doubles your havoc time! (get it from the Crucible DLC)

(this tactic works with most bosses in Darksiders 3)

After defeating the Stasis Hollow boss, Dovox, you'll go and face Ionos. He'll have all of the previous Wing bosses' combat traits (i.e., ability to take away your current Hollow, ground shock waves). You can take a few Havoc Shards and just go to town on him. Once one runs out, use Storm Hollow (+) wrath then use another Havoc Shard (+). Keep locked on () to it so that you don't waste precious hits. Once his health is depleted, the achievement will unlock.

Visit Vulgrim afterwards so that he'll give you the Abyssal Armor. The passives are +10% Physical and Arcane Damage, +14% Physical and Arcane Damage Reduction, +90 Health Regenerated Per Minute, and +10 Amount of Wrath Bar Generated Per Minute.

I will describe in detail my tactics for passing this boss:
I recommend approaching him when you are level 61 (at least, I approached him after the fight with Pride and before the fight with the final boss, respectively)
I had 63 experience points available (3 of which were obviously distributed from the start), which I redistributed using the “Echo of the Void”, bought from Vulgrim for 1000 souls, in this order: 30 life, 30 strength and 3 magic
It’s a good idea to have a Nephilim delay with you, pumped up to the capacity of 6 lurchers of health, 1-2 fragments of healing - in case of miscalculation in the timing of dodging attacks, and 2 fragments of a fortifier, but for those who like to play it safe - you can also stock up on one fragment of chaos - I’ll explain later, why (all consumables, except for increasing the delay, can also be purchased from Vulgrim)

In addition, I assigned the most balanced modifier to the whip, which allows you to restore health with each blow - a very useful thing, more than once or twice capable of saving Fury’s carcass from an inglorious end). Since the boss is quite plump in terms of HP - in combination with activating the form of chaos, this trick can easily help you restore 3/4 of your health scale (if not all!), without resorting to wasting medicinal consumables

Actually - battle tactics:
His pattern of attacks is not too complicated - almost all of them can be bypassed by rolling on R1, the greatest danger for me personally was the shock purple waves of void force that the boss emitted while stomping on the ground - after the first wave, do not relax, because the boss, without raising legs, organizes the second one, and they take off almost a third of the scale per hit - be careful

When he starts using the void of peace (ice), do 3-4 rolls at once, because he will hit with a vertical projectile and very rarely does this less than 3 times

When using the void of wind, the boss will stomp on the ground once, and lightning will fall on you from above - you should not be afraid of it, because it is as easy to dodge as other attacks

There are videos on the Internet where people go for it without using consumables at all, but I tried to make life much easier for both myself and you.
Besides getting the trophy, beating it is also worth it because

Good hunting )
