This method involves no serpent holes and is a lot quicker then all previous methods posted above, go to the crossroads and kill all the enemies on horseback, after this rather then entering the serpent hole go to the library which was previously guarded by the big troll, enter here kill the enemies and then walk back out into the streets all enemies will have respawned and makes killing on horseback a lot quicker!

Wait until you get the armagedon sword to do this. That sword will kill everything a lot faster. You can go back between the 3 initial areas of the game. Kill all enemies in the first area, go to the third area, kill all enemies, go back to the first and repeat until you get the achievement. It was super fast with the armagedon sword and I think this is the best and fastest way to do it.
