Prestige is based off of a few things; population, age and buildings. Also, there is a cap for each criteria. You can not simply build 1000 skull totems and get this.
To get to 1000 prestige you will have to do the following:
-be in the iron age; 100 max points
-have at least 150; people, 400 max points
-build structures; 500 max points
To get your population up to 150, build at least enough space for 155. provide everyone with clothing, keep everyone happy and have a surplus of food.

"Keep everyone happy" is pretty vague for a solution. You have some good basic info, but you're lacking detail. If you add some details and/or strategies, I'll give you a thumbs up.
