Since all items in the game are used in puzzles, it's impossible to miss this achievement. For me it popped after I picked up the finished battery from the shelf in Red Edisons workshop.

This will come naturally throughout your playthrough of the game. As the game can be played in virtually any order you wish, there is no exact moment you will unlock each of these trophies. However, everything you pick up must be used to progress through the game, so this trophy is unmissable.
