Have Hoagie use the flyer in the suggestion box in the presidents room to have a vacuum appear in the Laverne's future. As Laverne gain access to the secret lab. You gain access to the lab as Laverne by winning the best human contest

Get the cat/skunk down with the squeaky toy (you get it in the past with Hoagie while switching mattresses in the attic, the cat goes to investigate and you can grab the toy and flush it to Laverne)
Back in the future go to the human prison and give the guard the dinner certificate you won. After he leaves give the cat/skunk to the Edison family in human jail and they will run out and force the guard that guards the lab to chase after them and it leaves the entrance to the lab open.
When you get into the lab just use the hamster on Dr. Fred's old machine, Laverne will get punched and the hamster will run away into the wall, then you can use the vacuum cleaner to suck him out of the wall.
