How to unlock the Rank In achievement in DAYTONA USA - Definitive Guide

Simple one - do a time trial run on any course while connected to LIVE, and complete the full lap allotment (eg. 8 on the beginner course). Once you're done, the time should automatically upload to the leaderboard, and bingo - 15Gs goes onto your gamerscore.

Do you need Xbox Live to complete this achievement or can you still get the gamerscore offline for this?

Given that it's based on uploading the time to a leaderboard, you'll need to have Xbox Live, but Silver level should work.

Having the same experience. I don't remember seeing an announcement about servers, but this one is done for.

I like to say that leaderboards are still up and running now. It was an issue on Microsoft's end.

Just tried this today 3 times and the time won't upload. I get "Upload failed" and have to do the time trial again to attempt the time to upload again. I'm playing it via backwards compatible on series X, not sure if this makes a difference?!

Working on 9/17 at 8:16pm EST. I went to the leaderboards on the main menu and saw they updated with global rank.

Playing on Series X, I've been using 'Quit' to exit the game so quick resume doesn't mess anything up

Can confirm that the servers are very unreliable and stupidly, there's no option to retry your upload. So you may have to do a run multiple times to get it to register. I imagine these servers will be shut down one day soon.

I think this one might be done. Leaderboards say that rankings can’t be retrieved and I just completed a race on Beginner on my second tag and this achievement didn’t unlock.

Should also note it says: “Upload Failed” at the end of the race when trying to post the time.

Just got this just now. Leaderboards seem to be updating and showing properly for the most part currently. Worked on my 1st attempt.

On to the extras menus and select time trial. Select whatever track you want. Obviously the beginner track will be easiest and then complete all the laps. Beginner is 8 laps. You must finish all laps for the game to upload your time.

Go into the Extras Mode, select Time Trial, then race on any track of your choice. Complete the time trial and the game will upload your time to the server. Make sure you're signed onto the PlayStation Network when doing this.

Go to Extras and into Time Trial. Pick the Beginner Circuit. Finish the race and you will get the achievement when your score gets uploaded to the leader boards. You must be online to gain this.

No specials. You don’t need to press any buttons to load, just while you’re online you run the race in time trial mode and at the end the trophy should fall out.
