Each level has Gallery icons that look like a picture on a grey tablet and a paintbrush. Some are out in the open and others are obtained by destroying objects or statues and by completing challenges. There are even some found underwater or in manholes. In the 2D sections make sure you press every switch and search for every breakable wall. It is important to note that there are some items found in the sections that you can only enter once. If you have searched everywhere, you may as well start the level again because the one you may have missed could be in one of these sections. You can replay the levels if you miss something and you can check your progress from the pause menu. I have a guide to all the collectibles and it can be found here.
