Crafting is done in camp by survivors who stay behind and aren't in the expedition. In the Jobs tab in the Notebook, the left-hand menu will give you a list view of your characters, with an icon in the bottom right of the listing showing what job the character currently has. Your main character will always have a red "party" icon, showing their position in the party as [1/3] (your main character will always be the first party member in order). Any other characters in your expedition party will have a red icon with [2/3] or [3/3]. By clicking on the character in this menu, you can remove them from the party by pressing . As well, you can add a different character to the party by clicking on their listing in the left-hand menu and pressing . You can have a maximum of three expedition party members at any time.

You'll want to assign non-expedition party members jobs, so that they're productive even while you're off exploring. To have a survivor perform a job, click on the survivor in the left-hand menu, then click on the job in the right-hand menu to assign the job (some jobs, like Outfitter, Blacksmith, Doctor, and Gunsmith have sub-menus, you'll have to select the item you want to create to set the job). Jobs have a maximum number of survivors who can perform said job per day -- two for crafting jobs and three for non-crafting jobs. Once a job is assigned, the survivor list item in the left-hand menu will now have an icon of the job being performed (much like the red party icon, but without the red coloring). To unassign jobs, click on the survivor on the left-hand survivor menu listing and press -- this should unassign the job (much like unassigning party status).

To unlock this achievement, assign one of your camp followers to a job that produces a good (Blacksmith, Outfitter, Gunsmith, or Doctor). Repeat five more times, and once the items from the job are created, this achievement will unlock.
