How to unlock the Soldier Fighter achievement in Dead Age - Definitive Guide

Soldiers (not to be confused with Undead Soldiers, that's a completely different category of enemy) can only be found as a negative consequence of a failed encounter. As such, they will never show up as a regular "Area" enemy, like most Undead, nor will they attack your camp, like Undead or Punks.
One of only two "difficult" achievement sets to get in this game (at least, related to kill counts), Soldiers only appear in failed encounters in the City and Highway involving either military outposts, unguarded military outposts, military installations, or military vehicles. (The other "difficult" achievements to get is for German Shepherds, as German Shepherds are rare, as opposed to soldiers, which are avoidable.)
Because of the above, you may reach the end of the game without killing the required number of soldiers (due to the fact they're often bribable or avoidable). As such, here is a farming method to get the needed soldier kills before completing your game:
Farming Soldiers
To farm soldiers. at any time, start a Highway Day zone. Because this is the easiest zone to play, you should quickly move through the areas. Hopefully, you'll encounter either a military outposts, unguarded military outposts, or military vehicles. For the former, you can outright select "Fight". For the latter, try to salvage these places, but make sure to use someone with a very low Survival or Cunning rating, respectively. Should you get an encounter, you'll have to face off between 2-3 enemies. Defeat them to raise your soldier kill counter.
Once you approach area 20, if you don't have the achievement yet, quit the game and restart. While doing so will cause your in-game counter to reset to what it had been before starting the zone, the Xbox achievement counter will still be at the level before the restart. Therein, just rinse and repeat the above process until achievements unlock.
Keep in mind that fighting humans (including soldiers) is a much tougher battle than fighting undead, as humans carry firearms and thus do much more damage than your run-of-the-mill undead.
Only enemies labeled as "Soldier" or "Lieutenant" count for this achievement.
