How to unlock the Adept Trickster achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide
Merciless Victory entails getting 2 pips from the emblem rating screen which is easier to do on low MMR but still doable regardless of rank. In short, you want to have a really good game, with good gen defense, using your ability a lot, getting most if not all hooks/kills, and ending chases as fast as possible.
Tricksters 3 unique perks are Starstruck, Hex: Crowd Control, and No Way Out. Don't expect to get good value out of Starstruck as you're too slow a killer to really capitalize on the timed expose status and have a smaller Terror Radius, but Hex:CC and NWO are both solid perks. Hex:CC prevents survivors from being able to constantly loop you at a single spot and forcing them to move around a bit more. NWO buys you a sizable amount of time blocking the exit gates so you can hunt down survivors without immediate concern of any escapes.
You definitely want to load up on The Tricksters add-ons as he has a rather healthy array that can tip the game over in your favor. You can't really go wrong with most of them but you obviously want to stay away from the ones that nerf your power in exchange for extra BP gain. There is an add on for a wide variety of playstyles. Just want to throw stuff without worrying about missing? Just bring the additional knives and/or faster reloads add-on. Want something risky but rewarding? Take the ricochet knives or the add-on that gives survivors the exposed status when you restrain your shots. Can you play around looping survivors? There's an add-on that let's you retain speed while you throw your knives at them. The Trickster also excels on the more open maps that leave survivors out in the open while they're working on gens.
A few bonus perks revolving around the killer is that his blades counter the ever prevelant Dead Hard and since Trickster is a 110% speed killer you'll want to be relying on your power to get your downs anyway. It also helps to note that there's no long cooldown between going from injuring someone with your knives and then using your melee to quickly down survivors. Trickster can be especially deadly when survivors try to unhook in front of him as you can injure both the unhooked and unhooker relatively quickly when they're locked in animation. Main Event can be a clutch ability, especially in situations like I said before when someone has to unhook in front of you, but don't worry about playing the match around it. I personally didn't use it once in my adept match. Play to your strengths and you shouldn't have a hard time. The Trickster is commonly cited as a lower-tier character but he is also one of the easiest killers to learn to play as.
