How to unlock the Backdoor Escape achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide
There are 2 ways to escape the map on Dead by Daylight. The first and most obvious is to turn on 5 generators and escape through one of the two doors.
Secondly and the the one that we want is the Hatch. The Hatch will only open if you are the last survivor on the playing field and have at least 2 generators repaired. That means 3 people can escape and you can leave through the Hatch. It will open automatically if these criteria have been met.
The Hatch spawns in a random place every time. If you find it make a note of it's location or stay close by and wait it out. Once you have the opportunity to escape walk up to the Hatch and press the button prompt to escape.
If you don't know where the Hatch is but are the last one alive. Listen out for a humming noise the Hatch emits.
You can also get this if you were lucky enough to get a Skeleton or Dull Key in the Blood Web. This allows you to open the Hatch whenever you want. These items are needed for

As an addendum. The hatch only spawns if the number of generators completed is greater then the number of Survivors remaining. So don't bother looking early if this criteria is not met.

The hatch is an escape method that can be found on the map after one more generator has been repaired than the amount of survivors left alive in the match. To make the hatch appear on the map, 4 living survivors have to repair 5 generators, 3 living survivors have to repair 4 generators, 2 living survivors have to repair 3 generators, and 1 survivor has to repair 2 generators. The hatch will be closed unless you use a key with the power to open black locks, like the Skeleton Key item, or if you are the last survivor remaining in the match.
Be careful when jumping into the hatch. If the killer is close, he can grab you in animation leaving through the hatch and kill you. The trophy will unlock in the post match screen.

The hatch appears after the survivors have repaired 1 more generator than there are people alive. That is: Surva 4 - Repair 5 generators. Survive 1 - Repair 2. The hatch appears in a completely random place on all maps. Sometimes he can appear in buildings and on hills . The hatch opens only after there is one survivor left, or it can be opened with the “ Skeleton Key ” item.

The easiest way to get it. We select the mode - “training” for the survivors. In one of the stages of training, it will be possible to exit through the gate or through the hatch! The locations in the tutorial are “soooooo” small, it won’t be difficult to find a hatch, especially since a characteristic sound is heard next to the hatch (like wind or a hum).
