How to unlock the Blood on your face achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide

The description for this is wrong, you actually only need 4 kills total, I unlocked it getting 1 kill in 4 different matches.

I can confirm this. Just get a total of 4 kills across all matches.

I confirm this. And I would add that a good way to do this, is using the Rancor perk of the spirit, which allows you to kill your obsession once all generators are repaired.
(Just make sure not to sacrifice your obsession before that)

3 kills over 2 games. Turns out Pyramid Heads Rite of Judgement doesn't count though.

Got this with Amanda from Jigsaw, if they die by the trap, it counts as a kill.

Just to let you know, The Onryos condemned kills don't count for this. It has to be Moris for her.

Might be bugged, at least on the Windows version. Got one Jigsaw trap kill and it counted, then none worked afterward. Got one more, that seemed to count I think? Possible I could only get it through moris now. Weird.

THE ACHIEVEMENT STATES YOU NEED ALL 4 KILLS IN ONE MATCH, THIS IS INACCURATE!
This can be done in any amount of matches.

As the killer you need to unlock the Memento Mori offering and then use it in a match. After the match you will lose the offering. What it does is it will allow you to kill players crawling on the ground without having to pick them up and bring them to hooks.

Here are the three Mori offering types:
Cypress Memento Mori - Yellow offering where only the final survivor in the match can be killed
Ivory Memento Mori - Green offering where any one survivor can be killed, the first/second/third/last doesn't matter
Ebony Memento Mori - Pink offering you can kill any and all survivors

You need to kill 4 players over any amount of matches. Now because offerings are random, you'll want to kill as many survivors per match as possible. This could take you at least one match but will possibly take more depending on luck and skill.

The Pig killer apart of the Jigsaw DLC has a reverse bear trap they can place on survivors knocked to the ground.
This is highly situational as they'll need to be then put in to a walking around state and only after a generator is activated will the traps start a countdown timer. Once the timer ends you'll get the kill. The problem is that these boxes with the Jigsaw puppet on top of them can be used by the people with the reverse traps for a chance to take off the trap.
I believe you only get four traps and you can not replenish them so if the survivor take off all your traps then you won't be able to get any progress via this method.
I think if a survivor tries to escape via an exit gate then trap will automatically go off before they can. Not sure about hatches.
Credit to Scipio527 for pointing this out.

Can also be done with The Shape (Michael Myers) killer from The Halloween DLC if you have his ultra-rare add-on which you can read more about here:
Dead by DaylightEvil IncarnateThe Evil Incarnate achievement in Dead by Daylight worth 69 pointsIn a public match, kill all 4 survivors with the TIER III Evil Within.

There's been a suggestion that all 4 kills do not need to bee in a single match. Don't know if anyone else can confirm?

That's probably the case. I'll test it out.

I'll confirm. I got mine over at least two matches. Using Michael Myers, I was trying for Evil Incarnate using Judith's Tombstone & Fragrant Tuft of Hair plus the Black Ward offering so I wouldn't lose the add-ons.

For the Ivory and Ebony Memento Moris, you need to have hooked a survivor at least once before you can kill them.

Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I think the reverse bear traps count as an instant sacrifice and not a kill.

I'll get that Mori info in on the next update and I'll look in to the trap thing more.

There is a 4 in a match description and a 15 total description..

I get the feeling the devs screwed up and this was supposed to be in a single match but it unlocks as a total instead.

I didn't even know this was an achievement I've just been dropping reverse bear traps on everyone.

Must be done through Mori's (either as an offering or Hex perk.) Sacrifices will not count for this achievement.

This trophy requires the use of special add-ons, offerings, and circumstances to achieve. Below is every method in the game, including added DLC, that allows you to kill a survivor.

Add-Ons
  • Judith's Tombstone (The Shape - Halloween DLC) - Allows the Shape to kill any survivor while he's in tier 3 of Evil Within.
  • Tombstone Piece (The Shape - Halloween DLC) - Allows the Shape to kill any survivor at the expense of tier 3 Evil Within charge time.
Offerings
  • Ebony Memento Mori - Kill all survivors who have been hooked once in the trial.
  • Ivory Memento Mori - Kill one survivor who has been hooked once in the trial.
  • Cypress Memento Mori - Kill the last survivor.
Pointers:
Killing every survivor in a single match is one of the more difficult trophies in the game because of the hatch being present after only 2 generators are repaired. For this reason and because of survivors leaving the match, you may not get this trophy on your first time. If you do not have any of the DLC killers, than I recommend using the Doctor with Ebony Memento Mori in order to kill all of the survivors. The reason I would choose the Doctor is because her powers are very disruptive for survivors completing generators, and the proper loadout can make it difficult for survivors to snap out of tier 3 madness. This gives you more time to try and kill everyone before they are able to escape. If you do have DLC, I recommend using the Shape with add-ons in conjunction to the Ebony Memento Mori or Cypress Memento Mori to give you more options while you try to kill all 4 survivors.

When playing as a maniac, you need to use the Offering "Ebony Memento Mory", which can be found in Bloodweb (at higher levels the chance of getting it is higher). Then in the match you need to kill each survivor using this Offering: first hit twice, and then hold down the hit button for the animation. This trophy can also be obtained using the Hag perk “Hex: Devour Hope” (obtained at level 15 of this character or at level 40 you can get a trainable perk for other maniacs and find them in the Bloodweb). You need to hang the survivor on the hook and move away from the hook, when you rescue a survivor from the hook you will receive 1 ability token. When you collect 5 tokens, you will be able to use Memento mori on survivors. However, the totem can be broken and you will lose the abilities of this perk.

Michael Myers also has addons that allow you to instantly kill even unwounded survivors. It was for them that I received this achievement.

Together with Devour Hope, be sure to take Thrill of the Hunt (slows down the breakdown of totems and gives a notification if someone starts to break the Hex totem), because often the Hex totem is found and broken very quickly, especially when Exposed appears on survivors after the third token.

It took me a long time to get trophies, pumped up maniacs until I was blue in the face, but the red memento sea never fell out, then I did it with the help of the Witch and her unique park, everything is visible in the video, the main thing is to protect the totem and move away from the burned one which was hung for more than 24 meters then everything will work out.

Attention! Under no circumstances combine Hex: Devour Hope with the Hex:Ruin perk, since at the very first generator the survivors will understand that there is damage and will start looking for the totem. Also, to be on the safe side, take the yellow Memento Mori, a couple of times it happened that it was the last survival that broke the totem.

I tried to put 4x down so they would bleed - they were all dead, no achievement given.

Take the doctor and addons for displaying survival under electric (for example, Restraint - class II). You run and hit with electric shocks. After accumulating the third level of madness, the survivor will see the silhouette of the killer, and you will be able to see this very silhouette, even if the survivor is lying on the ground. Tracking them will be incredibly easy. You can take both red Memento mori and Devour hope at the same time to ensure against losing the totem. The main thing here is where the totem spawns; sometimes it is difficult to find, and sometimes it appears in plain sight. I only got by with the hex; it has the advantage of a one-shot strike after removing the third survival from the hook.

The survivors need to be killed, not hanged! You must use " Ebony Memento Mori " or the " Witch " perk - " Devour Hope ". If a survivor dies from blood loss, the kill will not be counted.
