How to unlock the Skilled Huntress achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide

It's almost impossible to get this achievement with random players. You need to hang back away from survivors by at least 24 meters and down them with hatchets. Offerings for lessening the Dark mist are very helpful because you can barely see survivors from your distance. You can also use add-on Iridescent Head for instant down after first hit.

Here are short videos.

This achievement was originally 100? Damn.

Anyways, I found much success obtaining this achievement in only a few matches. The trick was to be a friendly killer and trying to communicate with a survivor. I'd hit some random objects and then back up with my axe in the throw position until I was far enough back. Most people figured out what I was doing - some were more helpful than others.

You can also try messaging a survivor while you're in the lobby and see if they're willing to help you.

Good luck!

Is it possible to boost this by setting the game region to lets say India or some foreign country and getting 5 people in the same lobby? How did you boost this achievement?

There is chance to get in the same lobby, if survivors and killer have same rank. I asked random players. They were willing to help most of time, if you let them escape :)

This is pretty much impossible to obtain legitimately. I've tried 6 or 7 times now and managed 1 hit from 24+ metres. I try to get a survivor on the hook and then stand back and wait for another to get them off but gauging the distance is difficult as is finding somewhere that's not obstructed by a tree or another object. Generators are the same and trying to hit a survivor who is fleeing is nigh on impossible because no-one runs in a straight line. I think 100 downs is a little excessive.

I'm reading on the Steam forums that this was glitched from a while back. Gamers say they've tried boosting and it shows no progress. I haven't tried boosting yet, but I did manage to get Swirling Death while practicing, and I know I downed at least a few. Mostly at the gate switch when they're standing still. So, still glitched or not?

So, not glitched, I'm just lousy at this. Trying to use hooked survivors as bait works sometimes. Letting them gather & taunt you at the gate is another. Be careful communicating with randoms, tell them it's for a daily ritual.

Final thoughts: just got this with the help of a few helpful randoms. Whenever there were only 1 or 2 survivors (due to d/c) I would play around & see if they were up for taking an axe. Or ten ;) In the end, not as bad as it seemed in the beginning.

Another easy method is to use Iri heads and down people sitting at the exit gates at the end of the match. People always wait there instead of leaving immediately so you can get a good amount this way.

the spectrum of the dbd community is so polarizing. You could have the absolute worst scummy players and then you could run into the most helpful, friendly and kind players. I guess it’s all a balance haha

It's hard but is possible to do with friends. You can have a group of friends join a lobby and if they don't join with you, just back out and try again. it can take a few tries but iv'e gotten into a few games like this.

I hate this achievement. I can’t figure out how far 24 meters is to know where to throw from. 😫

Meanwhile they reduced the amount of needed hatchet downs from 100 to 20. Nevertheless it's hard to gain but the target is much more within reach now.

This achievement is now far easier then it once was. It used to need 100 downs at this range which was really crazy. Very difficult to get a down like this in the wild so I would recommend using forced coercion. (I mention this in a Legion post as well)
Play normally (hopefully not tunneling or camping) and kill all but two. At this point you can down one and carry them around to show the survivors that you could kill them but won't. Get them on the same gen or next to each other healing.
Get them both injured, back off and let the hatchets fly. Try to keep one up so they heal each other to make the process smoother.

Your guide was actually good, it helped me out, thank you! Plus in regular matches even when I was losing, there was a situation when you can just down the survivors in the gates or near the switch. But in general yes, your tactic worked well.

Downing a survivor means to put them into the dying state. It usually takes two hits to down a survivor. Once to take them from healthy to injured, and the second hit to take them from injured to dying. At base power, this trophy requires you to either hit an already injured survivor from a considerable distance with a hatchet. There is also an ultra rare add-on called the Iridescent Head which can take a healthy survivor straight into the dying state, but at the cost of carrying 4 less hatchets at a time forcing you to reload at lockers much more frequently. However you approach this trophy you will need to get exceptionally good at precision hatchet throwing to accomplish this, making it the hardest trophy in this chapter.

There is no stat tracking to see your progress so you should keep a tally by hand. There's also no inherent way of knowing the distance a survivor is from you making it tough to know what counts towards this. The general consensus online is that you should run the basic perk "Deer Stalker" at tier 2 which highlights downed survivors with an aura when they're within 24 meters of you. If the survivor immediately glows, they were too close. If they didn't, they were far enough away. The trophy will pop when you've downed the 100th survivor from the appropriate distance.

To get the trophy, you need, playing as the killer "The Huntress", to throw an ax from more than 24 meters (approximately the same as the killer's terror radius), to put a survivor on the ground (you need to hit an already wounded survivor). You can first wound a survivor with a regular axe, and then, according to the condition, with a throwing one; You can use the red addon on a throwing axe, which gives a “one-shot”; you can camp from a distance while a survivor is hanging on a hook, keeping the ax charged. In total, you need to put 100 survivors on the ground, not necessarily different ones. I actually got the trophy when I beat the same survivor for the 3rd time in the match. And, if in a successful situation you decide to “farm” this treasure on a novice survival or a loser survival (and even more so when camping), then release it into a hatch or gate as a token of gratitude for your help in such a difficult trophy ;-)

I found the ideal way to get this trophy: we attach maximum perks to the hunter that give the Exposed effect, so that in any case we can kill survivors in one hit. Then we fight until we completely kick one of the survivors out of the match (we try to do this while a maximum of 3 generators are running). Then we chase after all the survivors without hanging them on the hook until we put everyone on the ground. Then we lift them one by one and carry them to the generator. Most often, one of them begins to repair it, or goes to friends to raise them. Both options are good in the sense that there is already one survivor ready to cooperate. If he runs, then there is no point in chasing him; you can continue to lay him on the ground. When he starts to repair, we simply retreat to the required distance and attack him with axes. The best option is for survivors to heal each other after a fall. When they start all the generators or life is almost zero, we release them. In this simple way it was possible to score from three to 15 hits per match.

UPD. After 50 hits and several negative reviews from players, I found an even better way: start immediately as soon as you catch one of the survivors. Take it to the generator and knock on it. If he sat down to fix it, great, throw an ax at him and lift it. There is a high probability that the rest of the players will catch up and will also treat him. In this simple way, we managed to score at least 10 hits per match and the trophy took no more than 2-3 hours.
