How to unlock the Thrill of the Chase achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide
The Skull Merchant’s ability is based around setting up drones, and is the only killer that can expose via Lock On.
Her base kit carries 4 of these drones. When deployed, they set up a medium sized circular area around the drone. The boundary of this area can be seen by both killer and survivors. This drone is in active mode.
When a survivor is within this area during active mode, they slowly become Locked On. You can tell how locked on a survivor is by the yellow circle appearing on their portrait. Once it maxes out, their portrait will have an orange hue instead. They’ll also show killer instinct for a little bit.
If a survivor tries to disable your drone and fails a skill check, they are automatically exposed by lock on.
When this is the case, they are exposed via Lock On, so you can down them in one hit.
You need to do this 10 times. It can be done in a single game or over multiple games.
This one is a pain, because the Skull Merchant’s ability is terrible and it takes ages for someone to actually become exposed. More often than not, a survivor will run out of the area long before they get exposed, then to top it off their Lock On progress regresses soon after they leave the area.
You also can’t set up overlapping drones.
My best advice for this is to use the Add-On called Vital Targeting Processor which reduces the time it takes to Lock On to a survivor.
When in game, deploy a drone in an area that survivors may commonly run through, like the main building of most maps, the killer shack, around generators or some of the better map tiles. Herd survivors into your drone area, or through two or more of your drone areas in a row and hopefully they’ll become exposed.
Alternatively, find a friendly survivor or a friendly TTV who’s live and ask them very nicely if you can farm this.

Idk if it's bugged for me but I'm getting progress without them actually being exposed just locked on. 70% in 2 matches with no exposed downs

Achievement unlocked in 3 games. You don't need them exposed
