How to unlock the Whiffing to Success achievement in Dead by Daylight - Definitive Guide

The killer can swing anywhere on the map and as long as he doesn’t hit you and you vault within 5 seconds it will count for this achievement.

I would advise waiting until you know another survivor is in a chase, then vault back and forth over a pallet,.

I don’t know if slow vaults count however because I got the when I was doing fast vaults as a distraction for a friend but you can easily test this for yourselves because the Xbox achievement tracker does work for this achievement

I have tried the described method a few times (vaulting back and forth while the killer swings anywhere on the map )and the counter for this achievement never moved a single bit.

Then the killer never whiffed. As of two weeks ago this method still works, I know this because I helped a friend get the achievement this way at the end of February.

Pretty sure they changed the requirement, now they actually have to whiff you

This is a bit out of date. Playing the game on a friends account and either the tracker isn’t *that* functional anymore due to recent bugs or the requirements have changed.
- the 5 second window is very narrow
- I’m almost convinced that the Killer has to collide with a wall, pallet, window before you vault for it to register. 90 hours in on my friends account and I’m only at 60% playing lower ranks all the time too.

Anyone having any trouble with this. Your best bet when starting is to just fake the window vault. Make sure the Killer is going for the lunge and just move out the way. They hit the obstacle and then you vault over or an adjacent obstacle. Used to be a lot simpler back in the day

Being playing around with this for the past week or so now.
That window is definitely not 5 seconds.
Closer to 3 if anything.
You have to be in a chase with the Killer
The Killers swing does not need a collision with another object, pallet.
The Killer hitting another Survivor and not you will not count.
If you dodge and attack then vault a window/pallet and get hit. It will also not count (Unrelenting and so on).
74% now...

Undetermined if the Killers stain has to be on you or not when the swing is taking place though. Still. What an annoying achievement...

After realising how much of an idiot I am and not just use David King - Dead Hard. I really don’t know. Unlocked it in 3 games on my friends account

Does dead hard actually work? Cause technically you’re still getting hit

Dead hard and windows of opportunity are 2 perks that can be your friend here. You also want to make sure you can time it right so that the killer is attempting a M1 hit at the time you are dodging. When he starts, deadhard to the window and vault.

Any survivor can earn this. To earn this trophy you must vault a window or pallet just as or after the killer has missed an attack. The trophy will pop after you're 50th vault after a missed attack. You can unlock this trophy even if you don't own the DLC.

I got this naturally just playing lots of survivor and getting into lots of chases, but it did take a long time to unlock. My favorite tactic is to use the David King perk "Dead Hard", bait killer into an attack, then using the perk to evade it before vaulting away. It takes a little practice, but it's highly effective. This trophy was probably intended to promote use of Kate Denson's new perks "Windows of Opportunity" and "Dance With Me", which will help you spot vault points and not leave tracks after you jump through them. For more details on these perks, CLICK HERE to see the Survivor Perks supplemental guide.

Achievement: On the Wings of Success.
To get the achievement you need: In public matches, dodge the Assassin's attack 50 times before jumping over an obstacle.
This is the easiest achievement to achieve. when there is a bot in the game (a person who stands still and punches the air), you just need to fall under his attack.. and at this time you can move him. Just move the maniac to fly. and just jump here and there. (The main thing is to take the perk for yourself as a doctor)

I don’t understand what the comrade above is talking about, what other bot is and what we’re even talking about. The Dead hard perk will help you; in a wounded state, you can accelerate using the X button. When the killer is already breathing down his neck and swinging, press the acceleration and jump out the window. He misses, you get +1 step to achieve.
