How to unlock the A cut above achievement in Dead Cells - Definitive Guide

The Scarecrow's Sickles are unlocked by defeating the Scarecrow boss (the blueprint is dropped the first time you defeat the Scarecrow). If you need help finding or defeating the Scarecrow, there's an achievement for doing that, so check out its guide:

Dead CellsWatering Time! The Watering Time! achievement in Dead Cells worth 63 pointsYou beat the Scarecrow!

Once you have the blueprint, you'll need to spend 100 cells to unlock the Sickles.

The Scarecrow's Sickles are a Power (not a weapon) and take up only one slot. They use Tactics and Survival, so you are most likely to have success when you have upgraded one or both of those to enhance the damage you deal with them.

When you use them, two sickles will burst out of you and swing around through the air in wide arcs around you. They will follow around you automatically as you move. The sickles damage any enemies they come in contact with. After two complete circuits they will come back towards you and if they make contact with your character, they will disappear and go on cooldown. But if you dodge roll through them, they will instead keep spinning around you.

After they've hit 5 enemies, the sickles change from green to red and start dealing critical hits (5 hits, not kills, to get criticals).

In order to kill 5 enemies in a row, use the sickles in an area that has a high number of enemies nearby (rats in the various sewers often appear in numbers and have low health, so are easy to kill). Keep rolling so that the sickles last longer and don't use your other weapons (you might accidentally kill an enemy with a different weapon). Simply roll and dodge around in between several enemies and the sickles will take care of the rest. When they start doing critical hits, they should tear through most enemies pretty quickly.

The achievement unlocks immediately when you get the 5th kill.
