How to unlock the Pact with the devil achievement in Dead Cells - Definitive Guide

You first need to have Mushroom Boi, then travel to the Morass of the Banished. At the end of the level you'll encounter the Swamp Priest who wants a sacrifice. Have Mushroom Boi out and activate him again. Mushroom Boi will sacrifice himself, be removed from your inventory, and then you can go to the next area. Mama Tick will give you an outfit and you can move on without fighting.

Is anyone having trouble unlocking this? Done it twice now and no luck

@Smiththedude it worked for me back in December 2021. Maybe the updates messed it up? You're making sure to go to Mama Tick and not fight her?

In front of the entrance to the lair of the Queen of Ticks there will be an Altar and a cult minister who will “offer” to sacrifice someone. Get to the altar with the "Mushroom Guy" and save. Sacrifice the "Mushroom Guy" by double-pressing L2 or R2 and visit the Matka! Having received the trophy, roll back the save and fully deal with the Matka to receive the trophy for killing her.
