In this game, you earn cash by capturing ghosts, collecting items, finding money, and completing bounties. The money is used to unlock the different areas of the map. Once you've unlocked the last area (Ghoul-B-Gone HQ), you unlock this achievement.
$50,000 - Park (Park Attack achievement)
$250,000 - Restaurant Ave. (Kitchen Carnage achievement)
$500,000 - Industrial District (Factory Fray achievement)
$1,000,000 - Ghoul-B-Gone HQ (this achievement)
My best advice, so far, is to just be careful when doing jobs. If you die, then you will lose all your upgrades, which would obviously make it more difficult to complete the later levels (where you earn more money).
Pay attention to the bounties, and cash them as soon as you can.
On top of that, after you finish the 30th day, the game basically resets you to the very beginning. Meaning you lose all the money you've earned and upgrades. The only thing you really keep are the collectibles in your journal.
