How to unlock the Slayer Squad achievement in Dead Island 2 - Definitive Guide

Straightforward, just play 5 quests with a partner. I recommend playing the game with a partner anyway as it makes the fights that much easier, you don't have to worry about them taking your loot/xp as it is shared.

NOTE: If you are on old gen Xbox one, you CANNOT host a game, you can only join off someone who is hosting with a Series S or X.

NOTE: You cannot join a partner's game if they have progressed further into the story than you.

NOTE: I was having trouble joining from the main menu, however I was able to join my friend's game once I loaded up my own story mode and then join off of their invite.

Tip for anyone like me who's playing the game solo (on Series X) and wants the co-op achievements: I set my online game type to Public while I was running around doing side quests/lost and found missions. Random people popped in to my game and I was easily able to get 5 missions done with someone else in my session.

Stuck at 80% too with Series S, but the trick with the XBox One worked for me...Loaded up the game and it popped at the main menu!

Click 'Join Game' and you'll be put into someone's game with a comparable level. Just join them in their missions and I had the achievement in about an hour. The revive one too.

This isn't entirely accurate. The original Xbox One and the One S can't host games but the One X can as per the Dead Island website.

Pretty straight forward in co-op complete any 5 quests, progress counts towards the host and the person who joined.

Get an online co-op session going (Dead Island 2 has support for up to three players) then complete five quests with your posse. Make sure you see all five through to completion, and this will unlock. Simple.

To save time, you can accumulate 5 tasks that all you have to do is turn them in and quickly run through them (it’s not necessary to go through them from the very beginning with someone)
