How to unlock the On Rails achievement in Dead Island Retro Revenge - Definitive Guide
Best option I've found is Level 1-5 and it requires a little work with your timing. Arm yourself with the bladed weed whacker (your starting weapon) and use whichever magic attack you like (the starter lightning attack is fine). You're going to have to eat the damage from the first two concrete barricades, so pay attention to the zombies' patterns as best you can so you don't take a fatal 3rd hit by accident.
There are no giant "energy wave" zombies in the center lane on this stage to worry about (well, there's one, but more on him later), and you'll get several dogs that you can deflect back at other enemies. You're going to use one of these dogs to break the third concrete barrier in your path (hit it with 'A' then launch it forward by hitting 'B'), while others you'll send into the bottom lane (by hitting 'A' again instead of 'B') to take out out-of-reach enemies while you continue meleeing zombies in your lane. This boosts your combos and ups your weapon's meter.
Once you get to the fourth barrier, wait till the last possible second and activate your weapon with 'LB'. You should have enough meter built up at this point that your weapon should stay active through the last few barriers and the middle lane's solitary giant. As you near the end of the stage, there will also be a barrel in your path. Knock it into the air with 'A' then send it flying ahead of you with 'B' and you should detonate the final obstacle between you and the finish: an exploder zombie. If you mess up or the barrel doesn't fly far enough, just activate your magic power with 'RB' as you reach the exploder to blow him up instead. Stage Clear!

Can't get this method to work. My weapon meter does not fill up after I get hit a second time by the third barrier (see above comment). I am breaking the second one with the dog and getting hit by the third. I can build my combo to 3x, but the weapon meter never fills. I have also used lightning to make it past the barrier, but the middle lane giant gets me. Any ideas?

While I personally thought that TombOfAnubis did a good job of explaining how to get this achievement there still seem to be some who have problems so here's a video of how I did it.
About the charging of the weapon, all I can add is that you DO NOT need to have it fully charged on order to use it,good luck
Ps. A little side note,am I really the only one who have noticed the similarities between the main character & the late & very great Pantera guitarist,Dimebag Darrell
I rest my case lol ;)
