Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition

The charge attack is a new ability that appears in the third row of every character's skill tree. It is activated by sprinting towards an enemy and pressing Y to do a sweeping attack. You must press Y about a metre before you reach the zombie, otherwise the attack will not work. With practice, the timing will become easier.

II SWIFTY II reminded me that holding Y will cause your character to drop their weapon, so be sure to only press Y while sprinting.

The attack itself is not very strong even when fully upgraded (although you should still fully upgrade it if you want an easier time) but it will often knock the enemy down, which means that you have to wait for it to get back up before you can charge it again. I would recommend getting the zombie's health down first, then charging it once for the kill.

The best place to get this is the beach area near the beginning of the game, it has a bunch of zombie in a open area so you can peacefully work on your charge attack kills. Would also suggest bringing a buddy with you to help weaken the zombies.

I would suggest bringing in a character that has a lot of stamina because this can drain your stamina fast.

Also on the right side of the beach their is a dungeon you can go into with even more zombies in it but it’s a very small & has a thug in it as well so be careful if you go in their.

Once you have killed everything you can with your charge attack just pause then reload your checkpoint & all the zombies will have respawned on the beach. Just keep this and depending on how lucky you are with the charge attacks you’ll have this in about an hour.

Note: I did this with a level 28 Sam B on chapter 2, I used the mission Heavenly Gift as a guide to the beach.
