Dead Island Riptide has 61 Collectibles and they are tracked with an ingame counter. If you collect one of this 61 it is automatically saved. Of the 61 collectibles there are 17 Palanai Island Guides, 15 Postcards, 10 Angela Guerra Recordings, 10 John Morgan's Diaries and 09 Secret Files.

NOTE: Collectibles can be obtained in missed locations anytime before the point of no return in Chapter 13. You may view the collectibles you have and deduce the ones you are missing by going to the menu.

As noted by TA member 'M I K 3 ID', there are several glitched collectibles; floating and fallen throughout the game. Two of the more notable are:

John Morgan's diary 2
It's suppose to be on the table but it seems to be glitched in the table. Keep moving around until you are prompted to pick it up.

Secret files part 2
This one is hidden under the bed and you will not see it. Move around where the video shows it being and you will finally get it.

Man that sucks, I love these games and would love to 100% them. At this point I’d have to do a completely new playthrough with Xian Me and hope to snag all the collectibles, seems like a waste of time

Perhaps you thought you picked up one but were killed while doing it. I would recommend you run through and revisit all guide locations.

Menu said I have all and i searched again at all locations before finishing the game, but found no more guides. It seems I have to delete my file and start a new game...

in the INVENTOTY's COLLECTIABLE List you can see Secret files 01
But in the PAUSE MENU's achievement List,the achievement still 8/9

My Angela Guerra Recording #5 is slightly underneath the screen it’s supoosed to be sitting on top of. Since I’m playing Sam B. even while squatting I am too tall to be able to target it from underneath.

Any suggestions? It’s at about 6:30 in the video.

I just ran it on a dummy account aswell, and the tape is still spawning on the underside of the shelf, so no idea how I'm meant to complete it :S, crouching isn't allowing me to be low enough to get the 'pick up' prompt

You are the bomb! I switched to analog, crouched on the narrow side of the shelf and did up to down attacks which dipped me low enough to stab X and get Angela Guera #5!

Notably it was analog that made it work as the digital attacks won’t ever do an overhead attack like that unless there’s a zombie target that prompts it.

I'm having the same problem as TymanTheLong, Angela Guerra Recording #5 is spawning on the underneath of the 'shelf' that it is meant to be on, I was also playing as Sam B. So I did a quick start up with Xian, ran to the tape location, and even when crouched with her, I cannot get it to register it as an item to pick up -_-. Not really sure how to fix it because I've reloaded a dozen times, and obviously now ran through with a separate character aswell :'(

I had the same glitch with Recording #5 spawning under the shelf, but I was able to collect it by standing next to the shelf, looking at the recording, and swinging a melee weapon at it. There appears to be a specific angle of swing where the character leans in just the right way such that the recording can be collected for a very brief moment. It might take a few tries to press x fast enough.

I have no idea if these details make a difference, but I did this using the analog control system, playing as Sam B, and swinging some kind of bat/mace.

Sloutions for who being Glitched

When your INVENTOTY's COLLECTIABLE List Display you have Collected all, but Pause menu's achievement tracker said 60/61,you can do like this

1,go Pause menu's achievement tracker,check which collect part still not finished.
2,exit game,start a new game,use same character,start from chapter 12.
3,just only do collect the part still not finished.
4,if everything go on wheels,the achievement will pop after you collect (program think of )you missed before.
