How to unlock the Time Attack Master achievement in Dead or Alive 5 - Definitive Guide

To earn this achievement that's called "Time Attack Master", you'll need to complete Time Attack mode on both Solo and Tag modes.

Solo Time Attack mode has you go through eight stages, while Tag Time Attack mode has you go through five stages. In either mode, when you finish up a run on each difficulty, you'll be scored based on how fast or how high of a score you earned, but the important thing is just getting through all the difficulties and completing them, one by one. In essence, you'll have to undertake 16 playthroughs, starting with the difficulties that are already unlocked from the start. As you complete them, one by one, you'll unlock higher difficulties as you go.

For both Solo Time Attack and Tag Time Attack mode, these are the following difficulties you will come across on the list.

-Rookie
-Easy
-Normal
-Hard
-Champ
-True Fighter
-Master
-Legend

True Fighter and Master remain locked from the get-go, but once you beat Champ difficulty, you will unock True Fighter. After going throgh True Fighter, Master will be unlocked. Once Master is done, all you have to do is finish Legend, on both modes, and you should earn the achievement, provided you started with Rookie and finish up with Legend, going at them one by one.

Now, looking at all this, you might think this is easy, right? Wrong. The AI in Dead Or Alive 5 is, in my opinion, is some of the worst AI programming in fighting game history. The computer AI can magically counter everythin you try to pull off, as if it can read you like a book, and basically combo/juggle combo you to death, making the task of getting this achievement extremely unfair, since the AI isn't that cooperative on later difficulties. However, I have learned of an exploit tha can be used to your advantage.

Leifang, Jann Lee's rival, has a power blow charge move that the opponents, even on Legend difficulty, fall for a lot of the time. All you have to do is press down+back on the control pad, along with Y+B, all at the same time. You can hold down Y+B to charge up the move before ripping your opponents a new one wth that move. Keep in mind, however, that you need to be at the right distance and making sure that your opponent leaves themselves open for the attack. Otherwise, they can stop you with a quick move and pummel you easily. If that happens, try to get out of it with a quick kick and then quickly back off so that you are given time to use the move again. This will not take one try, for you may end up failing to win the overall match and have to start over. The good news is that you can continue from where you left off and try again withou having to start over.

As for tag matches, go with LeiFang and a secondary character of your own choosing. I chose La Maprosia, due to her mix-up game and her throws are useful. In fact, should you fight Akira, make sure to spam Up+A a lot, as the throwing move will catch him and he always leaves himself open to it.

I hope that my advice helps you in clearing out all the difficulties in Time Attack once and for all! Have fun and good luck!

in order to get this achievement, you need to beat all time attack difficulties on both (solo and tag) modes. you may be in trouble for the last three difficulty. specialy if you want to get christie's swimswit (beating solo legend difficulty without using a continue).
So, here's a cheap tactic at the video below that shows how to beat Legend Modes (Arcade, Time-Attack) in Dead Or Alive 5 without losing/using continues. It kinda balances itself since the A.I. itself is cheap, and its reasoning for being cheap is why this tactic works. That's because the A.I can read your button inputs.

So that's why this kinda works. You need a character with a chargeable attack, like most power blows. I used LeiFang since hers causes her to back up a bit and then attack. In truth, Tina and Kasumi also have similar attacks, so I think you could use them too, though I never tried.

Then you just need to time your attacks. Constantly punish the A.I.'s whiff as it tries to attack/counter what you're doing. Since it's chargeable too, you can always delay the attack when necessary. Basically do it as above.

For the swimsuit costumes, you don't have to use the particular character who's swimsuit you're after. So I didn't need to use Tina to get Tina's swimsuit. Using LeiFang is fine, you just need to complete the mode on legend without losing/using continues. Someone said they didn't lose until the last stage and lost then, but still got the costume, but I'd still try to not lose at all.

As for this LeiFang tactic, the hardest character I came across was Sarah. She just has a lot she can do (or I just can't read her well). I lost to her when I first tried this, so I had to go through the mode again. You can't lose.

This should work in Survival to get Lisa's swimsuit, but yea, Survival looks like a real pain to do and i didn't try this yet.

i also have posted this guide for arcade aster achievement.

Lastly: Good Luck!
