How to unlock the Ready to Ride achievement in DEAD RISING 2: CASE ZERO - Definitive Guide

You need to collect 5 parts to rebuild the bike.

Wheel - Located in the Pawn Shop. You need to purchase it for $5,000. To collect the money go across the street to the casinos and bust up the machines and they will cough out enough money to purchase the wheel.

Handle Bars - Located behind the department store, will not be available until 6PM. The one survivor wants to make a trade for the handle bars. He wants a broadsword. Go to the hunting store through the roof. To get on the roof act like you are entering the hotel from the alley and jump across the alley to another air conditioning unit, from there cross the roof tops to the top of the hunting store. Return with the broadsword and you will get the handle bars.

Engine - Located behind the movie theater. Enter through the entrance, go through the movie theater and out the exit into the alley, there will be the engine block.

Bike Forks - Enter the hotel from the alley behind it by climbing on the dumpster and then jumping across to the raised fire escape stairs. A set of keys for a shed will be in the far back room on your right. Take the keys to the shed next to the hardware shop and the bike forks will be located inside the shack.

Gasoline Canister - At the gas station there is a canister laying next to one of the gas pumps.

Video comes from Rooster Teeth to help you.

I wish I had an answer but I don't recall having that issue :/ have you tried entering the gas station and exiting it trying to force loads on the area?

Just wanted to add that if you drop any of the parts before returning them to the bike, there is a chance they will dissapear for good! I dropped the wheel in the shed where the save point is right before you go out the door to the street to save time cause i needed another part and didnt have time to go to the bike, and after going through the door and coming back, the wheel had dissapeared! And also when i opened the shed with the bike fork i didnt pick it up, left, and when i came back to get it it was gone. So bring the bike parts directly back to the bike before doing anything else to save a lot of frustration like i had

I had probs with the machines giving me enough money, but you can save your game then reload it. The machines will be there to smash again. Also, if you smash the two on the left only, the remaining machine will pay out at least three times. Then you can smash it and do the save and reload process again.

This would prob be a good way to farm cash for Small Town, Deep Pockets

It is on the left hand counter, you high light it by looking at ti through the fence and then hit B when the price shows up.

You can just kill the survivor and take the handle bars off them. Much quicker but you won't get the save all survivors achievement.

You're given the starting bike parts in a trolley in Case: 0-2, bring these back to the store room, and the collecting can begin.
(this is the order I collected them)
#1 Gas Can: This can be found at the petrol station to the left of the safe house. Collect this and bring it back, it doesn't have to be carried, it can be pawned into your inventory.

#2 Engine: This can be found out in the back alley of the Cinema, there's a door in the back of the Cinema, which leads into an alley it's just outside the door, (this door can only be opened from the inside). The engine is hefty so must be carried.

#3 Handlebars: This can be found with Jason & Archie out the back of the Department store, but the motocross lover won't give up his precious handlebars unless you can trade him a broadsword. These can be found in the hunting shop, which is a bit of a trek, go to the alley beside the hunting shop, this is in a straight line, as if you were heading past the petrol station. Jump on the dumpster here, then onto the air-conditioning, then the awning then the roof, where you'll find Bob, your friendly neighbourhood watchman. go from here to the back part, you'll see a steel fire escape on the outside of the hotel (save time and go in here and acquire the shed key). There's an air conditioning unit in front of this, jump onto that, then turn left and jump across to the unit of the other building. climb up, then go across to the other side, jump down onto the awning. Then up onto the other side and around onto the rooftop adjective to Bob's rooftop, jump through the vent in the roof, and viola the hunting store, and your broadsword, take this to the boys and presto your handlebars await, these can be carried in your inventory.

#4 Bike Forks: Using the shed key which you hopefully acquired in the hotel getting the hunting store open. It's a small shed just on the right before the barracade. These are heavy so must be carried back.

#5 The wheel: this is bought for $5,000 from the pawnshop, see the spending money achievement if you're having problems with the cash.

-The Gasoline Canister is located by the pumps at the Brockett Gas Station.

-The Wheel is available from the Still Creek Pawnshop for $5,000.

-The Bike Forks are located in the shed to the east of the Big Buck Hardware store, accessed by the Shed Key located in the upper floor of the Still Creek Hotel.

-The Handle Bars are in the possession of Jason Wong, who is using it as a weapon during Handle With Care. Trade him a Broadsword from Bob's Fish 'n Hunt or kill him to get it.

-The Engine is located in an alley between Ed's Friendly Barber Shop and the Still Creek Movie Theater.

The bike parts are extremely easy to get when you know where they are. You will be able to get all parts straight after the pawnshop except for the handle bars, because a surivor has them (Jason Wong). After 3:00 PM you will be able to find him and the handle bars. Read each description for the locations and conditions for each part. They are listed in order as you should grab them. When you get on, you will have to return it to the safehouse and put it on the bike. You can press to attack with it, since it's two handed and you can't switch weapons. It cannot break. To see a list of bike parts, hit and select Bike Parts.

Note: You can finish all the bike parts and finish up everything else after building it. It will not end your playthrough if you fix it completely.

1. Wheel: After unlocking access to the pawnshop, by saving the owner, you may buy the wheel for $5,000. You won't have enough at first, so run across the street to the casino and collect the money there (bashing the slot machines for extra). You can now buy it.

2. Gasoline Canister: On your way to the safehouse from grabbing the wheel, stop by the gas station by the pumps. There's a red canister there. Pick it (dropping your Wheel) and then pick up the wheel again. The canister is a one handed item, so you can take both to the safehouse at once.

3. Engine: The engine is in the alley next to the movie theatre. Go through the movie theatre and out the exit into the alley (this unlocks a door for you). It's on the ground.

4. Bike Forks: This item is locked in a shed, located on the South East part of your map. It's the small building next to the grey circle (which respresents a giant tire sign). You must first get a key, which is located on the second floor of the hotel. To get there, go into the alley inbetween Bob's Fish 'n Hunt and Still Creek Casino. There's a green garbage can at the end. You can use this to jump to the fire escape (have to time it right). Now go up into the hotel. Go left and then right at the broken stairs. Inside the lone room there is a key to unlock the shed (gives you an unlocked door).

5. Handle Bars: These can only be obtained from the survivor Jason Wong. He will appear anytime after 3:00 PM behind Uncle Bill's Department Store (exit out the back). He will want a broadsword before he gives you the handle bars. You will want to get the sword before you meet him. To obtain it, jump up to the building Bob is on (yelling/shooting guy). Now face the direction of the other building and jump to it. Go to the other side of it and go left along the awning. Now you can jump up to the hunting store, and drop down through the hatch. The sword is inside, and you'll get an unlocked door out of it too.
