How to unlock the Maxed! achievement in Dead Rising 3 - Definitive Guide

Ok so I think I may have found one of the fastest ways to get both kills and PP. The only thing you need for this to work is the blue prints for the ELEMENTAL STAFF. The elemental staff can be made by combinding a battery and a traffic light. This will create the ELECTRIC STAFF. Then you have to combine the ELECTRIC STAFF with a Propane Tank. This will create the ELECTROFIRE STAFF. Once that is made then combind it again but with a liquid nitrogen. This will create the ELEMENTAL STAFF (the super combination). Once you have that made and you have the blue print, go to a safehouse and get 2 more out of the weapons locker.

THIS METHOD IS A LOT FASTER THAN JUST USING VEHICLES TO KILL ZOMBIES!

Now that you have 3 ELEMENTAL STAFFS in your inventory, find an area with a lot of zombies. Your going to want streets that are filled with zombies of all types, I suggest the bottom right city on street where the news stands are. (Image of map at bottom of solution.)

You may actually run out of zombies to kill! All you need to do is walk away far enough for them to respawn and return and kill them all!

When your ready to start the massacre, take out an ELEMENTAL STAFF and press the Y button twice. This will give you a staff with fire on the tip, I personally think fire kills the most. Now walk around pressing RT while aiming (from the hip) at a large groups of zombies, fireballs will shoot out and burn through all the zombies!

Keep the chain going and you will start to gain a MULTIPLIER and you will gain more PP per kill!

Once you have used all your staffs the return to your safehouse and spawn 2 more ELEMENTAL STAFF'S and repeat the method over again!

With this method you can get 141,450PP per minute if you have a good spot with a lot of zombies. That number may vary depending on what level, book and attribute you have. So when selecting atributes, select atributes that give you more PP gain.

I was getting around 663,800PP per STAFF.

This is working great. Also helps to increase your smart attribute to the point where it increases your pp from combos. Cranks it up even faster.

What I did was starting to work on Survival Medal with general or combo kills with a good Super Combo Weapon (Elemental Staves work great indeed, I also used Jazz Hands some times and also Ultimate Scythe). You get 30k PP for the medal itself and a great multiplier to continue to kill more. One nuke, two birds.

Try the gas stations. Usually its on one of the shelfs or around the store somewhere. I never had that problem so I'm just saying the last place I saw them.

Not cool dude. you just took my solution, put it on youtube and didnt even say where or who you got it from. in fact, i believe you said "its the fastest way I found" at the end of the video. next time your going to make a solution you should probably not be a douche and take credit for other peoples work. asshole.

Correction: ultimate grim reaper. Scythe + Katana= grim reaper. Grim reaper + oil = flame reaper. Flame reaper + grim reaper mask = ultimate grim reaper.

The Ultimate grim reaper is must better for PP then the elemental staffs.

@capicawl
There is a bar at the bottom of the screen when you are looking at your locker. Each time you take out a weapon it decreases that bar. I think combo weapons take 1/4 of the bar and super combo weapon take 1/2. You just have to wait awhile for the bar to recharge. Since the elemental staff is a super weapon you can only get 2 from the locker every couple of minutes.

The best way to get level 50 for me is do every DLC without really trying to get there. I will have complete my fourth DLC in a few minutes and I'm near the end of level 49. I swear I never boost anything. Just complete DLC with every related achievements.

@ DAN NUFC you need 5,000,00PP to get to level 50.

@ WylieMD the bottom left city with the huge construction site. Go to the garage close by and walk around behind it, you will find a fence that is climbable. Climb over and you will find all the parts lying on the ground.

I agree with Paradox......I actually hit 50 before I even finished the main story.........all it takes is for you to find every collectable, and aim to complete some of those PP challenges, by the time I finished the first DLC, I had EVERY single attribute unlocked.......not really that hard, and not even a cheevo you actually NEED to grind for.....

This isn't a solution as just an addendum to @PartyBoii45's solution. Max out the ranged skill because the elemental staff is considered a range weapon. You get extra ammo and better accuracy. Made a big difference as I was running around leveling every couple of minutes.

Cheers

Completely agree, also when you use one of the "Y+B" combo's it also ups the PP into the thousands on any of those guys.

I also just got my split shot, aside from the fact it doesn't have nearly enough bullets, that thing is wicked cool. Play chapter 8, Northwest quadrant and you can clear the streets with the gun if you completely fill your inventory. Kill streaks in the thousands pretty quickly....

I reached that just playing the story again and again :D

As a suggestion: smashing fire and policemen boosts up the PPs, there are several place in the map where there are groups of them :)

After completing the game the first time doing most missions I was quite a high level, somewhere in the high 30s I think. I played a little more with a friend but after that I just went PP hoarding, I did a video on the techniques I was using. Hope it helps!

This is just a little add on if you have completed Nightmare mode, it will reward you with the MegaBuster. Once you get this, grab a bunch of them from a locker and head out to large masses of zombies. Use the heavy attack once or a few regular shots to build your combo meter up then use the combo grab it will obliterate tons of zombies and grants you huge PP. ( You can also equip the pp book if you have it for a little extra boost)

If you kill all of the Psychos and complete all of the side missions, you should be able to reach level 50 by the end of your first play through. Once you unlock the more powerful combo vehicles and super combo weapons, leveling will come exceedingly easy. The biggest tip to leveling is to create massive combos. To further boost your combo score, you should consistently use your special execution moves. Also, witnessing Tragic End events and collecting the Limited Frank Statues will net you some PP. If you are having any issue leveling, refer to some of the other guides here on Steam that provide an actual walkthrough of Dead Rising 3.

Due to the insane quality of the upper-tier combo weapons, leveling in this game can be incredibly easy once you unlock them, and the more powerful combo vehicles. The most important rule, when leveling, is to combo. Massive combos are more easily attainable by the super combo weapons (which is why they're awesome), and increasing their durability through books and skills can allow you to carry combos for longer periods of time. To capitalize on your combos you should also use special execution moves to get a boosted score for a single kill. Your list of execution can be found in the player menu of the game, with the initial one being the basic or weapon specific execution. All of the executions can be conducted when the prompt pops up on the left side of the screen, next to the combo, and they should be used on the tougher enemies to make sure they don't get in your way during the combo, and also because they give the most PP and will utilize the current multiplier the best (these include King Zombies, Prisoner Zombies, Football Zombies, etc.). When going on PP gaining runs, try to keep as many combo weapons on you as possible (use the list below for the best weapons and locations, rated by their power level).

Note:
The locations aren't static, meaning if you were to say pickup the blueprint listed for Ultimate Mecha Dragon before any of the other Mecha Dragon blueprints, you will get the Dragon Blade blueprint first. You would need to collect the other three Mecha blueprints in any order to find the Ultimate Mecha Dragon as the last one.

-Dragon Blade - House NW corner of map
--Flame Mecha Dragon - In tunnel near flame trial in South Ingleton
--Mecha Dragon Blade - On top of shack in alley NE of Rhonda's Garage
---Ultimate Mecha Dragon - Roof across from garage. Enter rear of Northern building through back alley.

-Reaper - Alley West of garage
--Fire Reaper - In parking lot/courtyard of apartment building NE of Rhonda's Garage
--Death Mask Reaper - Melee weapon shop North of garage
---Ultimate Grim Reaper - On top of building next to small park in Ingleton

-Electric Staff - Back alley in SW Almuda
--Electrofire Staff - Fire station in N Almuda
--Electroice Staff - Roof of Almuda Farms, across from bus depot
---Elemental Staff - On top of power grid area in Almuda

-Power Shout - Roof next to Almuda garage
--Electric Shout - Roof of building across from Fire Station in N Almuda
--Super Shout - Roof of Almuda auto body shop that has a trial and tragic end on it
---Ultimate Shout - Dumpster next to construction site in Almuda

The easiest way is to quickly run up to 4 chapters. so that you have as much time as possible before the end of the game, there you can already collect everything, complete the challenges and most importantly upgrade =) Progress is saved (if you saved ) and then you can restart chapter 4, the statistics will remain, and the time will again be the same as when you started chapter 4. And so the main thing is that you first need to download the Hand-to-hand combat attribute in order to open the Twisting technique (when accumulating combos, press + and stick to the right) the main thing is for us to accumulate combo kills (shown from the left on the screen) the higher it is, the greater the XP multiplier, and don’t forget to use this technique we need to kill a certain number. zombies (if you upgrade the Umto attribute, you will need to kill less for a combo, minimum 5 kills). So we go into the crowd and hit them with this combo, if we do everything correctly, then those killed during this combo will replenish the combo counter and again we use this technique, if the counter has not accumulated, then we hit them manually, again the main thing is that the combo counter does not reset, together reset the XP multiplier with it. I hope I have written everything clearly, in general, when you start playing you will understand everything and everything will go like clockwork for you.

The fastest way to get to level 50 is to complete challenges, additional missions and mini-quests to save survivors. Also during the game you will find books. One of the books will be called "Resourceful Trader", which increases all your experience gained. If you want to quickly level up to level 50, you need to always have this book active. When you reboot, missions or book chapters are reset and you need to reinstall them yourself. When another book is found, a new one will be automatically installed, so don’t forget to move it to the one you need). Also in the attributes, upgrade the intelligence tab to “bookworm”. The "Intelligence" attribute also increases your experience
