How to unlock the Clowning Around achievement in Dead Rising 4 - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement you need to visit two locations in the mall with the "Adam the clown" costume, which is unlocked after completing chapter 2 in the story.

The two shops are located near the food court (one slightly left of the food court, one more to the right of it). For a detailed look at the locations, please watch the video below.

Be careful: According to some forum entries, this achievement is possibly missable/glitched. If you enter the 2 shops without the costume you possibly have to start over and visit them with the costume for the first time. Personally, I can't confirm if this is true or not. Just to be on the safe side, do not visit these shops beforehand.

I had previously visited the 2 places and then when I wore the Adam costume for the first time the achievement popped for me. I didn't need to visit those 2 places while wearing the Adam costume.

I had the same problem where I had already visited the 2 places and not with Adam the Clown. What seemed to work is visiting both places with Adam and then visiting some other NEW place with Adam. As soon as the new place registered, the achievement unlocked.

Had the same problem and jerkkhammer comment above solved the issue. First new store I entered as Adam achievement popped.

Same here. Previously entered both stores without Adam costume. When receiving the Adam costume and re visiting stores, achievement did not pop. As soon as I entered a store that I haven't been in before, cheevo popped a second later.

Entered both stores without outfit. Went to the wine place at the end of chapter 3 and the achievement popped.

Same here. Had visited both stores, probably, not wearing Adam. Went to both once Adam unlocked and the achievement did not pop. Went to a few more stores, nothing. Went back into mall out of go cart track area and went into one store i had NOT previously been in (location and credit came up when i entered). When i left it, the achievement popped.

Good guide, especially the comments, but it would have been nice to have a picture of the mall map to show which stores they were at a glance. It was annoying looking for that in the video.

I already visited all locations before I got the skin and I entered everywhere I could before the time died out and still nothing pops up do I have to start a new save file just to get it

Nevermind I found 1 place I didn't visit before mostly because it's up stairs in the mall and wasn't in a Gray box like all the other places of interest and as soon as I walked it I said I found a new place then BOOM achievement came up I litterly felt my body just shiver when I came up it was so good to see it because IV BEEN TRYING FOR SO LONG TO GET THIS also that is a stupid glitch as if anyone wold be able to figure that out

Ive tried multiple times with going into the two shops and then a location I’ve visited before with no luck. Running out of stores to use. Hate glitching achievements!

And an hour and it popped my home screen.

[Buggy/Missable] See "Full Wardrobe" for info on how to unlock the costume. The rest is self-explanatory. Slappy’s Fun Shack is in the northwest corner of Miami Boardwalk, while Party Poppers is in the hallway just outside the north exit from the Amazon Food Court.

The reason this is buggy is if you visited the two stores before getting the costume, the achievement won't pop until you visit an undiscovered location while wearing it. If you've already discovered everything, you'll have to start a new game.
