How to unlock the Left 100,004 Dead 2 achievement in Dead Rising 4 - Definitive Guide

The first step is to unlock the Sling Rot blueprint, located in Old Town on the steps of the church. You'll also want to unlock the entire bottom row of skills in the Brawling section.

Now make the Sling Rot vehicle combo. You can find it directly in front of the church near the blueprint or on the highway leading to the bridge behind it. Once inside the vehicle, you will be preforming a 3 part loop over and over again as follows:

After you complete the third part, get out of your vehicle and make a new one; then repeat the process.

A couple of notes:
- Use your special ability as often as possible as this generates most of your kills.
- Keep an eye on your vehicle damage. You don't want to ever have less than 30% without being near one of the two spawns.
- The 3rd part of the loop is essential as triggering the checkpoint on the highway allows all the zombies in Old Town to respawn.
- The counter in the bottom left is a little off; usually about 1%-2% from the achievement counter.

This method generates 36,000+ kills/hour. You can grab this achievement starting from 0 in about 5.5 hours.

You will also unlock these achievements along the way:
Dead Rising 4Zombie DestructionThe Zombie Destruction achievement in Dead Rising 4 worth 14 pointsKill 5,000 zombies

Dead Rising 4Z-Genocider 4: The ReturnThe Z-Genocider 4: The Return achievement in Dead Rising 4 worth 75 pointsKill 53,598 zombies

Great guide, i use pretty much the same route myself,
Went from 75k to 104k in about 1hr..
250k is the only PP trail i have left in SP, i also tried working on kills as much as i could during the game, after all trails finished(except 2 100k|250k kills, I was at 55k
(im currently level 92 and have all vehicle perks picked.)

If i load the game I do build the one in front of the church first (unless it starts me in graveyard then i pick the one i've mentioned below in pic3
Sling Rots for those reading is Tow Truck+Hearse.

Up on the motorway/highway part on pic 3, there is another Sling Rot you can make.. I usually start there.
I do 1 pic1 loop, 1 pic2 loop, then 1 pic1 loop, when i get to the church i head up pic3 and then make a new vehicle.. usually 10-30% durability left on truck

Happy Head Hunting :)

Add notes : since the 5gb patch came out, .. in PIC2, the corner right above TOW (old town) and leading up NE direction, once you clear out the zombies there, they don't want to seem to respawn even upon hitting check point. They only reappear if you quit and come back into game.
Additional note : game tends to now crash for me after 2500 kills, after the patch and the stocking stuffer update.

Was using this method prepatch and it was great. However now old town has some vehicles moved and zombies removed so while it still works it's a lot slower than before, at least on normal difficulty.

Would this go faster if on higher difficulty levels? My thought would be the car would just die quicker, same crowds.

I just started this game last week (May 2018) and have almost all the single player achievements except the trials including the 250,000 zombie kills. The route in this guide is decent but I feel that with a recent patch the Sling Rot has a physics based glitch. When activating its special it tends to go into hyper speed as if it has nitrous. This makes the vehicle nearly unusable for me as it launches its self into walls and parked vehicles. I'm just going to use the Tread Maker from Tom's place and do several laps around West Ridge and Old Town and then back to Tom's. No down vote, I just wanted people to be aware of this issue if they too are trying this solution.

I think this is glitched. Just hit 202000 and it's tracked in game correctly, unlocking the PP trial but the achievement tracker is stuck at 66%...

There is a physics glitch with any vehicle pretty much if you get too many zombie hits at simaltaneously. And when it happens it sling shots ur vehicle off course and along the way doesn't kill any zombies. Kinda annoying.

No it does't have to be in 1 sitting. Tracker keeps going on every playthrough and in multiplayer

Does anyone know if playing on Blackest Friday will make this longer? Haven't tried starting this yet but as I've been running over Zombies going for collectibles, it feels like they don't die as easily as they should

Friendly bit of advice that the video doesn’t tell you. The truck has a tendency to just fling itself a moch 7 from time to time once you turn on the flames so be aware.

Is this another kill-them-all-in-one-sitting achievement, like in DR1 and DR2?

With this strategy you farm Exp (pp) / Kills and Money in no time. With a vehicle you farm the kills a litte bit faster but you obtain only 2 exp(pp) instead of 10exp(pp) with the exo suit. So maybe this is the best "all in one" strategy.

Go to the church in West Ridge and outside you can find near the stairs the exo suit and directly beside that the vacuum powerup. With the vacuum powerup you farm so easily zombies. Our route leads around the church and we only use the charge with the RT button to kill the zombies. The charge is very short and kill so many zombies.

After the power from the exo suit is gone, go to the bridge which leads to Old Town and trigger the checkpoint. Now go back to the West Ridge Church and everything is reseted and the zombies are back. In each round you get about 1500+ kills, 4000+ money and 1 level (basis on my level 56 in this video)

Note from the comment section

you can get a 2500+ combo if you just tap RT instead of charging it

So I came across a glitch with this method.. now every time I put the vacuum upgrade on I somehow go back to my normal exo suit n no matter what I do I can't get it to work anymore.. this is probably the worst dead rising game yet..

The combo is not of huge importance in the goal of kills itself. By tapping you get less kills. For example you are getting more hits but some zombies get back up wasting kills..

I've noticed that playing MP furthers my achievement tracker for this and Z-Genocider despite it having a separate quantity of "kills" on the counter. Not that MP is an efficient way to farm kills, but if someone is planning on 100%, they could do all the MP stuff first and have less to farm out later.

The glitch xUNDEAD CHIEFx mentioned does happen. Relaunching the game fixes it. This method is definitely the better option if you're looking to level up and get kills at the same time.

In case anyone else has this happen, I didn't get the achievement until around ~202,000 kills (according to the "Zombie Slayer X" trial). Of those, about 30k were in multiplayer, so I can confirm that MP kills count (my single player count was ~174k when it popped).

Self-explanatory. Unlike some of the earlier games in the series, this does not have to be done in one playthrough. This will likely your second-last achievement (completing all the trials being the last). Make no mistake: it is a grind, despite the fact the kill count combines your single player and multiplayer kills. DLC kills do not count. I recommend getting all other achievements first (apart from the ones that require you to complete all trials, since the final trial requires you to kill 250,000 zombies total), and then loading up case 5 on normal so there are large crowds everywhere. From there, just drive over zombies (preferably using combo vehicles such as the Tread Maker) à la other Dead Rising games. Probably the best spot I've come across for this is the church in West Ridge, located between "Ned and Ann Teaks" and "The Brieder Family." There are about 2000 zombies in that area, and when you drive away a bit and come back, they respawn. It's also fairly close to the safe house, where you can buy a Tread Maker, and Tom's farm, where you can make one (in the barn at the back).

Note that it may take more than 200,008 kills, as it didn't pop until about 202,000 for me. Which isn't a big deal, since you need 250,000 for the final trial anyway. Check your achievement progress percentage on the dashboard if you hit 200,008 and it doesn't pop.
