How to unlock the 7 Day Survivor achievement in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster - Definitive Guide
Building on these other guides with my strategy.
I found the mega buster to be a very disappointing weapon. With unlimited ammo the large machine gun is far superior and would spawn in the dropped boxes and I worked with that. Once I had the three books for the food, I went to the Al Fresca Plaza and just killed zombies until they dropped enough food for me to skip and used the bathroom in the gym. Once I cleared most I would duck in and out of the food court or the Entrance Plaza. Plus after a couple days the cultists spawn in the middle area and increased chances of dropped boxes. It took a very long time but it was less risky than running around and hunting for food. And since the special ops guys don't spawn in the Plaza it was less dangerous.
There's also an oven in the restaurant by the fountain for cooking the ingredients to increase their health and to stop them from spoiling if you skip time.

This time, this achievement is much, MUCH easier than in the original 2006 and the 2016 versions of the game.
Basically, you can skip time in restrooms, which reduces considerably the play time and the possible mishaps you could have playing "the legit way". I unlocked this achievement playing about 3 hours straight. This achievement can only be unlocked in Infinity Mode, which is also unlocked after clearing the game with the best/true ending. Please go read to the OG game's guides if you don't know how to to this.
Several things to have in mind in order to unlock this achievement:
This strategy is suboptimal but shows you can unlock this cheevo without the op/unlimited items like the infinity book and the Real Mega Buster. If you have them, your run should be even easier.

The ∞ Mode achievement in Dead Rising (Xbox 360) worth 41 pointsTYPE: 1 PlayREQ: Get the true ending.
Several things to have in mind in order to unlock this achievement:
- MegaMan's Real Mega Buster helps a lot, but surviving without it is doable. You unlock it by killing 53594 zombies. I unlocked this achievement without even using the Real Mega Buster.
The Zombie Annihilator achievement in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster worth 40 pointsDefeat at least 53,594 zombies.
- The unlimited durability magazine helps too but it's not mandatory. You unlock it by completing the game while saving at least 50 survivors. Once unlocked, it will be on the floor in the air vents room next to the security room. Please refer to this other achievement's guides.
The Saint achievement in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster worth 42 pointsGet at least 50 survivors out of the mall.
- Reach level 50 before trying Infinity Mode. It's not mandatory, but having Frank at max stats and with every special move unlocked definitely helps.
- You only unlock the achievement when your wristwatch says it's DAY 8 because you start at DAY 1. Surviving seven days equals reaching DAY 8. It pops in-game, no need to die. Yes, you can use your wristwatch while in the OG game you could not.
- Enemy placement does not work like in the original game. Hostile survivors/psychopaths spawns seem to be completely random, but you can check the map in order to look for these kind of enemies in order to kill and loot them. You cannot tell if it's a survivor or a psycho because they share the same icon.
- Get the food books ASAP because they boost the healing effect of food. They can be found in Sir Book-A-Lot in Wonderland Plaza (+50% healing effect), in The Sinister Read in Entrance Plaza (+50% healing effect) and in North Plaza, in the empty storeroom next to Crislip's Home Saloon (+100% healing effect). Those effects stack on top of each other, and having the three books in your inventory is ESSENTIAL to maximize the healing effect of food.
- Food placement is exactly the same than in the original game. I used this guide (https://strategywiki.org/wiki/Dead_Rising/Infinity_Mode) to know where to look.
- Keep at every time at least 2 full heal items in your inventory. You never know when you can get jumped at by enemies. Play safe.
- There seems to be a "random drop" system whenever you kill base enemies (zombies/cultists/special forces). Basically they can drop a cardboard box, which once opened, can spawn ANY kind of item, including food, potentially making your run easier.
- At DAY 3 the special forces/military men spawn, be very cautious because they can stunlock you to death if you don't know how to deal with them. You can kill them in one hit holding and pressing .
- The assault rifle the special forces soldiers drop when you kill them has plenty of ammo and is very useful to kill survivors and even psychopaths from a safe distance. It's not a bad idea having one or two of them at all times because firing from a distance reduces the risk of being hit by those enemies.
- Getting the 3 food books.
- Getting a katana (personal preference, it's one of the best weapons in the game IMO). They spawn in Ned's Knicknackery (Entrance Plaza), Ripper's Blades (North Plaza) and near to Colombian Roastmasters (Paradise Plaza), near the juice stand, outside on an orange roof.
- Getting the Criminal Biography Book in Sir Book-A-Lot in Wonderland Plaza. This books boosts x3 the durability of bladed weapons.
- And then there's this gameplay loop: I just went methodically "emptying" the entire Mall's food items. Whenever my inventory was full I went to a restroom to skip time, reduced Frank's health to exactly one square, heal/consume food and so on. Whenever I only had 2 full health items on my inventory, I just moved to another area and/or went looking for a survivor or a psychopath to kill and loot.
This strategy is suboptimal but shows you can unlock this cheevo without the op/unlimited items like the infinity book and the Real Mega Buster. If you have them, your run should be even easier.

The bug I was getting seems to only happen sometimes but it's caused by leaving the speed up menu without manually stopping the speed up.

TIL the special forces can follow you into the bathroom and stun lock you in place in a corner. wtf

Adding on to everything else, it seems Entrance Plaza has a bug. I've crashed there twice now, once in 72 hour, and once on day 7 of infinity mode. The game will get super choppy/buggy and eventually crash. Probably best to just avoid the area entirely.

I did have my game freeze at a black loading screen in 72 hour mode. I don’t recall the location, but my game was very choppy when first encountering the sniper family here. I think it was due to me saving clips with Xbox Game DVR, and quickly accessing the guide button to do so on my Elite controller as this would also knock voices out of sync during cutscenes.

This should be your last achievement, so you should already have unlocked:
1.Use Real Mega Buster until you find a .50 Cal; its more op
2.Kill Survivors marked on the map, loot only food
3.Go to a save point and speed up time (carefully), consume food when you have 2-3 blocks of health
4.Rinse and Repeat
*When special ops spawns be vigilant and shoot them at range
*Survivors and psychopaths usually don't spawn from midnight to sunrise, so have food just in case
*AI spawns and Loot are random, as well as infinite
*Food lying around the mall can only be used once
Achievement should pop at the start of Day 8 (3-4Hrs, depending on how fast you are). I made it to Day 14 before I got exhausted and let the AI kill me.
- Real Mega Buster
- Book [Infinite Durability] - Unlimited Ammo
- Entrance Plaza - The Sinister Read
- Wonderland Plaza - Sir Book-a-lot
- North Plaza - Shack next to Crislip's Home Saloon, shack is unlabeled on the map

No real Requirements for this guide. real mega buster (not really needed) and infinite durability(not really needed but makes it alot easier)
Spawn into the security room. Grab Infinite ammo mag and the real mega buster if you have them but there not necessary. use the door to Go to the entrance plaza and go to the bookstore upstairs, you should be able to see it when you enter. and grab the health mag. Go back to the security room and leave through the roof. Grab the food that's there and then leave through the warehouse. Grab a skateboard from sportTrance in paradise plaza aswell if you want to get around faster.
Then use the secret shortcut in the female restroom in paradise plaza to get to wonderland plaza. Go and grab the second health mag in the bookstore upstairs,Then go to the North plaza and use the skateboard to get to the otherside. Then go into the room were cliff had the survivors for the last health mag (the empty room beside the hardware store crislips). Those three health mags should help you out alot. also the room to the left of pearly whites photos has two wine bottles aswell. carlitos hideout doesn't have anything but it could be a good location to skip time in. I also decided to go to the gunstore to look for food and found none but cleetus was there so i got some off him.
Now there's a few options you can do. You could look at the map and look for the blue/yellow icons. These icons tell you where pyschos or hostile survivors spawn. You might have to look around each store if there in a mall if you want to find them. Be careful going after them though, it could be Adam the clown or just Natalie.
Or you could do what I did originaly and go to the Al fresca plaza and grab as much food as you can and go to the gym by using the DOOR. Make sure to only use the door because if you use the windows zombies can slip through and grab you while you skip time. Now with your food just go to the bathroom door and skip through time until you have one or two blocks of health left and start eating the food. When you run out just grab the rest of the food in Al fresco. Also you could check the map for pyschos/survivors that spawn near you when you're done skipping time. For me David and then isabella on her bike spawned in Al fresca for me. Then when your done with all the food in Al fresco just go next door to the food court.
Now it gets dodgy. By this time it could be day 2 or 3 but the cultists and special forces will start to spawn. Trust me when I tell you to watch your ass when your going against the special forces. They've killed me when I was in a 3 day run in the cinema. If you go into the cinema be careful entering the TV rooms. Special forces can be on the left, right side or on the stage and can stun lock you and kill you like they did to me. After your done with Al fresca and the food court hopefully you will have gotten a heavy machine gun or rocket launcher drop off a zombie or cultist. the cultist are easy enough to deal with if you have a heavy machine gun or a rocket launcher but still keep your distance from them.
You could go to paradise plaza to get food from the Colombian roastmasters upstairs and from Jill's sandwiches.then you could try the cinema for food. After that there's a few locations that have food. The butchers shop in the tunnel where you fight larry has some milk and there's some cookies in the park. Other than that just try and get food from zombies and cultists drops and from pyschos/survivors. Be careful skipping time aswell, some random survivors or pyschos could screw you over. Good luck.

7 Day Survivor Achievement Guide (Full Walkthrough) - Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster
This is my complete first attempt run with a controller on an Xbox Series X streamed over Twitch unlocking 5 Day Survivor and 7 Day Survivor. Before starting I had already unlocked Zombie Annihilator for the real Mega Man blaster and Saint for the infinity book. I also reached level 50 so Frank has max stats and all abilities. You'll need to get the true ending of the game by completing 72 hour mode and overtime mode so you can go for this achievement in infinity mode.
The only items I went for are the three books that increase healing effects from food because your health is constantly dropping in infinity mode and food on map is limited. I did struggle to find these so know you don’t need them as ASAP as in past versions of the game. They are located:
1) New to this version of the game, regular enemies have a chance to drop a cardboard loot box containing one item. It will be a weapon or consumable. It seems like these will likely be lower rung items. I frequently received spoiled meat. It appears that raincoat cultists have a higher likelihood of dropping loot, but I can't say it is more likely to be of higher grade. However I did get a few heavy machine guns and a rocket launcher. When combined with the infinity book, these were preferred weapons over the Mega Man blaster. The heavy machine gun stun locks survivors, psychos, and spec ops making it my preferred weapon. Yup, spec ops are now in infinity mode and can be a pain.
2) Create a wide safe zone when speeding up time. Most mall restrooms will be fine. A cleared security room with be fine. However be careful with the gym in Al Fresca Plaza. The glass you may have broken to get in will be repaired when you speed up time, but do make sure that you gave yourself a wide birth and don't have zombies in the gym with you.
3)Zombies in this game are far less aggressive be it day or night. In 2006, I was carefully to do my moving during the day, and I tried to carry that concept over in Deluxe Remaster but it may not be necessary.
4) You still need to engage "bosses" in the form of survivors and psychos for their superior loot. They are marked on your map showing which section of the mall they are located in terms of loading screen. You may find survivors equipped with a weapon hanging out in shops. I didn't encounter psychos all that often. I fought the sniper family a couple of times, which is great because there's 3 loot boxes for the taking. I spent the majority of my time near Paradise Plaza. You may be able to get by simply respawning cultists here and mowing them down for food, then when confident engaging a boss in an open area. It may be the case that only survivors will appear in Paradise Plaza, which are much easier to handle, and it seems that special enemies won't suddenly appear in an area you're already in.
5) Lastly some areas to avoid. I don't believe the food court is glitched, but I only visited it at the start and end of my run. I didn't go into the tunnels as in 2006 I had a brush with Carlito there in a truck that almost ended me. If at all possible avoid the warehouse (the room with the elevator you frequently take to reach the security room) when a special enemy is indicated on the map. Kent almost did me in there and spec ops in tight corners are problematic. Listen for their radio chatter and watch for their flashlights. Do not go on the roof with the heliport. Your spawn in point can have you flanked by spec ops who have the capability of stun locking Frank.
That about sums it up, happy hunting.

The most difficult trophy in the game, but if you are afraid of difficulties, don't go to the trophy)
I will describe how I got this trophy without having a blaster, but having completed 50 survivors before going for this trophy, which I advise you to do, you also need to be level 50.
The peculiarity of the mode is that you need to survive for 7 days, according to the timer, roughly speaking, the 8th day should begin.
This is complicated by the fact that every 100 seconds your health square disappears, you can't die, there are no saves and exiting the game means starting all over again, so stock up on time and patience because 7 days in the game = 14 hours of your precious life (with an adjustment for the ability to rewind time in save points, it will be 7/8 hours)
Food in this mode is obtained by killing psychopaths and survivors (naturally before your visit to them), as well as vacuuming all the corners of the map in search of food (important, food does not respawn), try to play as carefully as possible, spend food wisely and you, who are lying scattered around the map, if possible, leave for the last days, and live at the expense of psychopaths and poor fellows in the first days. The most dangerous psychos for me are the Butcher and the Photographer, one is tenacious, the other rushes in all directions, but only at the beginning.
Things that will come in handy in order:
1) You need to find 3 books, thereby increasing the efficiency of consumed products by 200%.
book "Health-1" - Sir Book-A-Lot store (Wonderland Hall - W204),
Survival Book - Empty Room Next to Crislip's Home Saloon (North Hall),
book "Health-2" - The Sinister Read store (Main Hall).
2) A book that gives infinite durability for weapons, as well as infinite ammo. It will be in the security room on the opposite side of the ventilation passage. (You need to save 50 survivors for it to appear)
3) If you have a mega blaster for killing 53k zombies - great, I didn't have it and at first I fought with swords and chainsaws that fell from the clown and boxes after killing mobs, until I knocked out a large-caliber machine gun, as soon as it ends up in your greedy hands, you are king and god.
No one will come even within a meter of you, because with an infinite supply of ammunition you simply won’t let them do this, and besides, it mows down the enemy with ease!
As a result, 4 slots for books, 1 for a large-caliber machine gun and the rest for food.
This will be more than enough for you to successfully raid for provisions.
As a last resort, after the 5th day, a lightsaber will appear in the security room next to the place where the book was lying, which is very effective at beating psychopaths.
After receiving the trophy in 7 days, you can die and be sure to save your progress.

You can exit the game, but only through the game itself.

The trophy is made in endless mode, which is unlocked after completing the overtime mode.
Your health will deteriorate over time, forcing you to constantly search for food. Food spawns are static and limited: they can be found once at certain points, and can also be knocked out of survivors and psychopaths, who will appear periodically every day.
Luckily, time rewind is available in the toilets, which will help you get the trophy in 2 hours. Also, the trophy is simplified by the fact that you can "Pause Saving" at any time, that is, a one-time save will be created to continue the game. It can also be periodically uploaded to the cloud (by disabling autosync).
I recommend getting the "Saint" and "Zombie Slayer" achievements beforehand, so you'll have a blaster and a magazine with infinite ammo, as well as level 50 and the maximum amount of HP and inventory slots.
1. The first thing you need to do is collect 3 magazines in the shopping center that increase the healing from items:
Health 1 (+50%) – Sir Books-a-lot, a bookstore in Wonderland.
Health 2 (+50%) – Sinister Read, bookstore in the "Main Hall".
Survival (+100%) - Empty room to the left of Crislip's Home Saloon in the "North Hall" (where one of the psychopaths kept the survivors in 72 hour mode).
With these three magazines, all foods will heal three times as much. Orange juice, milk, coffee cream, wine, well-done steak, and golden-brown pizza will heal you completely.
2. The next principle is as follows: fill your inventory with food, then find the nearest toilet (the save icon is not displayed on the map, but you can still rewind time in all of them). Rewind time until the last health bar remains, then eat some food and repeat until the food runs out. You will need to continue doing this, collecting food in the mall and killing survivors/psychopaths.
Survivors/psychos are displayed on the map so you know exactly where the targets are.
Starting from day 4, cultists and special forces will appear. They can also drop food, so it is worth killing them, but be very careful with special forces, as they will stun you with their shots. If you are stunned and you think you can die, then pause the game, pause the save and re-enter - you will find yourself at the entrance to the location where you were, which will allow you to heal calmly. If you manage to find a heavy machine gun (mine fell out of a box), I recommend taking it with you, because when spamming He simply destroys everything in his path.
3. Below is a list of food that can be looted in the supermarket. At first, I just ran around looting food at points and rewinding time, and when the food ran out, I had already lived 5 days. The remaining time I ran around and killed targets on the map, collecting food from them. The trophy took about 2 hours.
