This is a rather easy achievement to get if you do some of the Scoops. FOR A TIP, SEE THE VERY BOTTOM, BUT BE WARNED THERE IS A SPOILER!!!!
You must rescue at least 10 survivors. Rescue means they must live, so if you get the shitty ending, everyone dies and you get nothing, you lose. Be sure to open the shortcut between Wonderland and Paradise Plaza at the end of the first day (read below if you do not know how).
For those of you who do not know about the shortcut, you must NOT be in Wonderland Plaza during the first night, Otto will give you a call saying that the rollarcoasters are on and something seems to be wrong. Go there (it's near the Food Court where you first fought Carlito), and head up to the huge rollercoaster (can't miss it, structure in the middle of the area) and head to the controls. Doing so will cause Adam to appear, once he's dealt with you'll meet Greg Simpson, who'll happily show you a shortcut between Wonderland Plaza and Paradise Plaza. This will now be available for the remainder of the game.
You should also carry around several Books, here are some I suggest, what they do, and where to find them:
Brainwashing Tips - It can be found in Colby's Movieland in Cinema 4 after defeating Sean Keanan. This book makes survivors not fear death making it much easier to escort them (you can also give them weapons, I would suggest a blade as oppsed to a gun, 'cuz they will shoot you in the process of shooting zombies).
Criminal Biology - It can be found in Sir Book-a-Lot in Wonderland Plaza. This increase the durability of bladed weapons by 3. As you may know, bladed weapons (such as Longswords and the Mini Chainsaws you get from Adam) work much better than guns on bosses, and zombies (mainly 'cuz the aiming sucks).
Health 1, 2 and 3 - These can be found at Sir Book-a-Lot, The Sinister Read and lying on the floor near Barbara Patterson, Josh Manning, and Rich Atkins after fighting Cliff Hudson (Book 3 is actually called "Survival")
THIS WON'T POP WHEN YOU BRING 10 TO THE SAFE ROOM (or it shouldn't, been a long time since I played, bare with me). IT'LL POP AT THE END, WHEN THEY ESCAPE ON THE 'COPTER.
Go for the 50 survivors while you're at it, 2 birds, 1 stone but it will destroy your sanity if you miss such as one Survivor.
