Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

This is made super easy, with almost zero downtime thru use of time skipping mechanics VIA Bathrooms.

Remember, you must not be in the area of the mission to unlock the mission at the corresponding time frame.

Remember, that FAST time skipping will skip Otis calls, so you must be careful not to skip the corresponding time frames, although you can skip every other mission if you so wish, which means you can easily do this method on a fresh save

This guide assumes that the player has completed Case 2-2 Which consists of saving the professor, as without the gate to Entrance Plaza will remain closed, and you'll simply have to take the long way around through the park.

This is a brief overview of what missions are needed, and the Otis calls that you must not fast skip:
Day 1 • 9PM • Greg Simpson • Do not be in wonderland Plaza.
Day 2 • 12PM • Above the law • Do not be in wonderland OR Paradise Plaza.
For the following: Otis will call you after these missions are complete, and you are no longer in Entrance Plaza
Day 2 • 5PM • Mark of the sniper • once finished - return to Paradise plaza, you'll unlock • Antique Lover • once finished, return to Paradise Plaza, and you'll unlock • The woman who didn't make it •

Greg Simpson • 9PM • Day 1 • Out of Control
While this mission isn't required - it's highly recommended, as it'll unlock you the shortcut between Paradise Plaza, and Wonderland Plaza. IF you rather skip Greg, you'll simply have to run from Paradise Plaza to Wonderland Plaza.

With that being said, the guide is quite short, and entirely done on day 2, between the hours of 12PM & 5PM.

• Day 2 •
Once you unlock the shortcut, simply wait in a bathroom in Colby's Movieland until 1PM, as the cultists will appear with Jennifer, in Paradise Plaza. save Jennifer, and take her back to the Paradise Plaza bathrooms and use the shortcut to be teleported into wonderland Plaza, and waypoint Jennifer to stay in the bathroom

Proceed to the mission "Above The Law" and save Kay, Lilly, Kelly, and Janet, at this point I recommend taking them to the back to the bathroom, and waypoint them into the bathroom.

This is where I'd also make a backup save, to guarantee yourself the achievement.

The reason we waited until 1PM and saved Jennifer first, was simple: now Sally Mills will be hanging on the bear in wonderland Plaza. Kill all the zombies around, and knock her down with a zombie hand, or any other object - recruit her, and bring her back to the bathroom with the rest of the girls.

When you're back at the bathroom you'll want to time-skip until 5PM to unlock the missions "mark of the sniper" Head back thru the shortcut, returning yourself to Paradise Plaza, and take the girls through to Entrance Plaza.

Hide them in any shop, or keep them by the door, as I'd recommend keeping them out any small locations - as they may glitch and phase thru walls. Kill the Hall family, and kill Wayne.

As the game is trying to make sure you don't go over your limit on survivors you'll need to head back to paradise plaza and answer Otis, who will then give you the mission for antique Lover.

So, unfortunately - we will need to murder Floyd. Head back thru the door to Entrance Plaza- have the girls wait by the door, and proceed to murder Floyd, and return to the girls. Head back into Paradise Plaza, and Otis will call you for the final time.

With the mission "The woman who didn't make it" active - return to Entrance Plaza, as you can now find Julie, and Rachel in different stores.

You'll find Jolie in "Gramma's Kid's" store on the lower floor, and you'll find Rachel on the upper floor in the store "For Her", you will need Jolie following close by to Have Rachel join the group, and once they're re-introduced to one another you'll need to talk with Rachel one final time to have her join the group.

There you go, you've just unlocked yourself the Grateful Eight achievement! Voila!
You can now return them to the security room, or simply murder them all there after!

For this Achievement we are going to make use of the new 'Advance Time' mechanic at the nearest save point, and have to strategically kill survivors as only 8 can spawn in the mall at a time.

Step 1: Start a new game and complete the introduction.
Step 2: Advance time to 6:00 pm (18:00) and go to Leisure Park and kill Sophia.
Step 3: Advance time to 9:00 pm (21:00) to get the Out of Control Scoop. Go to Wonderland Plaza and examine the Space Ride machine. Defeat Adam 'The Clown' Psychopath. Stop the ride and save Greg. Escort Greg to the restroom to unlock the secret passage way. Use the shortcut and kill Greg.
Step 4: Advance time to 10:00 pm (22:00) to get the Japanese Tourist Scoop. Follow it using the shortcut and kill both survivors.
Step 5: Advance time to 11:00 pm (23:00) to get the Shadow of the North Plaza Scoop. Follow it and kill David.
Step 6: Advance time to 7:00 am (7:00) to get the Lovers Scoop. Follow it and kill both survivors.
Step 7: Advance time to 8:00 am (8:00) to get the Hatchet Man Scoop. Go to Crislip's Home Saloon (North Plaza) and defeat Cliff the Psychopath. Kill the remaining survivors next door.
Step 8: Advance time to 9:00 am (9:00) to get The Coward Scoop. Follow it and kill Gordon.
Step 9: Go to Paradise Plaza and save Pamela and Heather.
Step 10: Take the shortcut to Wonderland Plaza. Advance time to 11:00 am (11:00) to get the Restaurant Man Scoop. Follow it using the shortcut back to Paradise Plaza and kill Ronald.
Step 11: Advance time to 12:00 pm (12:00) to get the Above the Law Scoop. Follow it using the shortcut and defeat Jo the Psychopath. Save all 4 survivors and return to the shortcut before 1:00 pm (13:00)
Step 12: Advance time to 1:00 pm (13:00). Use the shortcut to Wonderland Plaza. Find and save Sally and kill Nick.
Step 13: Advance time to 2:00 pm (14:00). Use the shortcut to Paradise Plaza. Save Jennifer from the cultists.

This has been ripped from the 'Frank The Pimp' achievement guide from the Original Dead Rising page. Massive thank you to CatapultNinjaX for the original guide. I have added some personal notes to the bottom of the guide for this version of the game specifically.

"*** start a new game in 72-hour mode and kill all survivors you encounter - this is important ... don't forget to kill Cliff's 3 captives in the room next to Crislip's. if you don't kill them all, Nick and Sally won't spawn at the appropriate time on Day 2 which means you won't be able to get the achievement ***

Day 2 @ 11:00am in Leisure Park

- be in Leisure Park waiting on Otis to call re: the Restaurant Man scoop
- take the call and head into Paradise Plaza; kill Ronald [RESTAURANT MAN] in Jill's Sandwiches
- use a queen to save Pamela in Paradise Plaza
- After Pamela starts following you, talk to Heather in the toy store and give her a weapon
- Escort Heather and Pamela to the bathroom where the Wonderland Plaza shortcut is
- Wait here until noon when you receive the "Above the Law" scoop
- Continue waiting until 1:00pm in the Paradise Plaza bathrooms with Heather and Pamela
- At 1:05pm take the shortcut through to Wonderland Plaza
- Give Heather and Pamela a waypoint in the bathroom right away
- Go kill Nick and save Sally who are hanging from the bunny in Wonderland Plaza
- Escort Sally back to the bathroom waypoint by holding her hand (this is easiest)
- Go kill Jo the cop
- Right after killing Jo, leave the 4 captive women tied up and go quickly down to the bathroom to reset the waypoint for Heather, Pamela, and Sally
- Head back up to where Jo was, untie the 4 women there and escort them to the bathrooms - you have to nudge them or hold their hands one at a time - it's annoying but don't press "Y" otherwise your waypoint will be reset which you don't want
- When all 7 women are in the bathroom take the shortcut to Paradise Plaza
- After the Sean/cult cut scene, quickly run back to reset the bathroom waypoint for the 7 women so they don't get mobbed
- Head back and kill all of the cultists, then save Jennifer who is in the box
- Achievement should unlock as soon as Jennifer joins you"

As the guide suggests, I started a new save from the beginning of the game but if you have a scum save available before the suggested day and time, this should also work. I grabbed the shotgun from the Entrance Plaza during the introduction which was my chosen murder weapon for any survivors I didn't need.

I used the time skip function to go to about 08:30 AM on Day 2. This spawned scoops 'The Hatchet man', 'Lovers A and B', 'The Coward' and 'Out of Control'

I killed the Hatchet man and all of his survivors in the side room, killed lovers A and B and then completed out of control, and unlocked the shortcut to help getting between the Paradise Plaza and Wonderland for the other survivors. I then went to the Al Fresca Plaza and killed Gordon from The Coward scoop.

From this point I followed the original guide and it worked like a dream.

This achievement can be done anytime during the game and unlike me I suggest not doing it while also going for the saint achievement to make it way easier. Here's a video I made on how to get the achievement.

Thanks to xBlack Love for the guide which i will be using as a reference. This way you will be done with completing the above the law scoop and will be able to still fulfill all cases if you're quick. (This guide does not require Hatchedman to be killed nor the corresponding survivors)

When entering Paradise Plaza before going to Colbies Movieland, save Pamela and Heather.

Proceed to Movieland skip time and go back to Paradise Plaza to save Jennifer.
Next kill Ronald in Jill's Sandwiches.

Proceed to the bathrooms and use the shortcut to Wonderland Plaza.
(There will be no survivors here due to having 3 following you and hatchetman as well as the coward still being active.)

Take all survivors to Al Fresca Plaza and kill Gordon in the hardware store.

Go back to Wonderland Plaza, where Sally and Nick are now hanging from the rabbit. Kill Nick and save Sally.

Go back to Food Court and wait for hatchetman to expire. (Should not take too long.)
You will get the call for the above the law scoop right then and there.

Reenter Wonderland Plaza, bring the women to the bathrooms and go kill Jo and free the other four survivors.
The achievement will pop as you untie the last one and her joing the group.

If you want to continue the cases disregard the girls and head back to the security room.
