How to unlock the Looking good achievement in Dead Space 2 - Definitive Guide

If you haven't learned from Dead Space 1, (or from the tip during the loading screen in DS2,) it's always a good idea to carry a spare power node on you at all times. Though usually random, unlocking rooms using them the majority of the time reward you quite well.
That being said, make sure you have a power node on hand during Chapter 11. About midway through the level the main walkway will "T" off and on the right you'll see a locked room that you'll need a power node to unlock.

In this room you'll find random loot as well as the schematic for the Advanced Suit. If you're still unclear where the room is,

The achievement will unlock after you purchase it from the next store you get to for 40,000 credits.

If you equip the Vintage Suit (10% store discount) prior to purchasing the Advanced the cost will be only be 36,000 - handy if you're short on credits.

I would just like to add, i never got the schematics and it was still available in the shop near the end of chapter 13, So if you do infact miss them, Don't worry to much. Just be sure you have 40k on you at the end of chapter 13.

It is no glitch. Rather it is intentional. It is working for sure. There is a statement in section two of the Dead Space 2 Walkthrough.

Yea this is exactly how I got my suit tonight. But I also had another suit on which gave me a discount so it was only 36000. Can't think of the other suits name arm :|

The schematic for the Advanced Suit can be found in Chapter 11, after returning indoors from space. You will fight off some necromorphs and it will be in a room on your right.
Then just get to a store, It costs 40,000 credits to buy

The schematic for the Advanced Suit can be found in Chapter 11. After disabling the giant red space lasers, you will enter a room with catwalks. After being attacked by Pukers, Lurkers and Elite Slashers, continute out through the door. You will be in a small hallway with a door on your left that is behind a barrier of detonator mines and a power node door on the right. You will find the schematic inside and after purchasing the suit at the store, the achievement unlocks.

You will find the Schematic for the Advanced Suit in Chapter 11. Purchase it for 40,000 credits (36,000 if you have Vintage Suit equipped) to unlock this. See The Engineer trophy for location of the schematic. If you missed the schematic, it will be automatically added to the store during Chapter 13 just like the rest of other schematics that you may have missed.
