How to unlock the The Engineer achievement in Dead Space 2 - Definitive Guide

Schematics have a dark purple glow and are the blueprints required to buy new weapons and get certain upgrades for ones you already own. Many schematics are locked behind doors that require a power node to open, so I recommend always keeping at least one power node on you at all times so that you won’t miss getting any of these. You should have this achievement by Chapter 6 and the text guide for schematics can be found here:

This achievement is pretty much a given in the game, but if you're just running through the game, you might miss this. Don't worry if you don't get the achievement by picking up your 10th schematic, it won't unlock until you turn in 10 schematics into the shop :)

Collect 10 Schematics that are littered throughout the game and bring them to the Store. The trophy will unlock after you bring the last one to the Store. Schematics allow you to purchase new types of weapons, armor, med kits and ammunition. See the following video by Powerpyx, or the Collectible Guide for help with this trophy.

Don’t pay attention to the trophy, if you pick up all the items you will definitely get it in your first playthrough..

Most often, circuits are located in rooms that can be opened by power nodes.

there are a lot of schemes in the game, more than 10 of them, so you can easily assemble them even if you don’t look in every corner
