How to unlock the Collect Peng achievement in Dead Space 2 - Definitive Guide

Halfway through chapter 7, you'll come across the mainframe room which will be indicated by a hologram repeating the line "Unauthorized visitor, mainframe."

Take a left, and use kinesis on the panel, and then press the button that appears once. Climb through the air duct to the other side where you'll see three kinesis panels on the wall. Take them off and you'll see you can take some power nodes out from behind two of the panels. Using kinesis, take the power nodes out of their current place and put them in the correct order in the left most panel. You'll know it's right when the power nodes glow blue.

After they're in place, a panel opens up near the air duct you crawled through. Press the button again, and crawl through the airduct again. At the end is a room with the PENG statue.

Nice guide, great video, one suggestion: the patterns to be used for the blue and the green configurations of the plugs are on the floor in front of the window (green) and on the 2nd switch (blue), may help people.

Your guide gets a thumbs-up because there is text explaining how to get the achievement on this page. Having just a video is an awful guide.

The Peng treasure is hidden in Chapter 7, when you're trying to shut down the mainframe. Watch the video to see how to get to it.

The Peng treasure can be found in Chapter 7, in the “Main Frame” room. You will know when you are here as the entrance to the air duct is surrounded by fans that are illuminated by blue and orange lights. Enter the air duct and crawl through into the room on the right side. Remove the fuse panels on the wall with TK and kill the Swarm behind the panel on the right. On the ground you will see a diagram of the fuse locations in red. You will need to remove the fuses from the the left and middle panel and place them in the panel on the right as they are shown in this diagram. Once complete, the diagram on the floor reveals a console that you must activate. Crawl back out through the event and you will be back at the start.

Activate the panel next to the air duct, so that you now gain access to the room on the left. Crawl back through the ducts and you will be in a room similar to the first. As you approach the left side of the room, a Super Slasher will come out of the vent by the air duct. After killing it, proceed with the fuse puzzle exactly as you did in the first room, following the diagram on the floor to move the fuses into the correct positions on the left panel. Once complete, activate the panel again to open the 'Main Frame'. Now remove the fuses you just placed and rearrange them until they all glow purple. Head to the vent and activate the panel that displays the fuses in purple and the air duct will rotate again. Climb through to find the Peng treasure and many other goodies.

Missable. In the Main Frame room of Chapter 7, you’ll have to connect fuses in two circuit rooms with Kinesis. In the left circuit room (the one with the Slasher, not the parasites), as soon as you climb out there’s a holo-panel on your right with blue block symbol. Fit the circuits according to this holo-panel so they turn blue. This reveals a switch to rotate the cylinder to the secret room with Peng, power nodes, and a large medkit. The trophy unlocks immediately upon collecting the treasure and thereafter it can be sold for alot of credits. Video by Powerpyx.
