Axes High
Kill 30 enemies using Fodder axes.
How to unlock the Axes High achievement in Dead Space 3 - Definitive Guide
It's also a good place to farm your explosive kills for
Simply stasis them as they walk through the door, shoot their arm off to take the axe, then TK the axe into the Necromorph's leg. Firing at its leg is a sure kill, while firing it at their chest mainly depends on how much damage your TK can deal. So if your damage is fully upgraded, feel free to shoot their chest.
I also recommend upgrading the amount of damage that your stasis can deal. I had mine on the third slot at the time of farming this.
Remember to SAVE & EXIT. Do not hit restart checkpoint as that will reset what you just got.
Right at the start of it you're bombarded by Axe necromorphs. You can continue on and actually do the mission as it has quite a few of them spread throughout, I found it less repetitive than farming the same area constantly, or you can simply do the first part, save & quit, rinse & repeat. .
Also, please note that the necromorphs in this mission are the black variety, so they still can take some damage on Casual, which is helpful if you're putting in too many shots.
I got this by grinding for it in chapter 18. Not much help if you're looking to earn it early, I know, but if you've gotten that far or have beaten the game, load Chapter 18 on Easy. Go forward and up the ramp, and head right. Before you get to the Bench, you'll reach a slight downward ramp with a Necromorph playing possum a little ways ahead. Go just far enough that he gets up, then start taking off his limbs. He'll drop axes. Stasis him, maybe weaken him a little bit more (you may need to try a few times to figure out the strategy that works best with your weapons), grab an axe with TK, and let him have it.
There will be another coming from ahead and on the right. If you accidentally kill the first Necromorh with guns, try using the axe on the one that's already tentacled. There will be one more coming up from behind you, which you can do the same thing on.
With luck, you can get one or two "axe" kills each time. If you don't, just restart the checkpoint. If you do, heal, stock up, do whatever, and then save/exit and continue from the checkpoint again.
It took me about an hour to get this, although I messed up a lot and probably had to restart the checkpoint more than usual.
After this part, if you go to the opposite end just before you exit through the doorway, there is another set. I didn't bother playing that far in for the purpose of grinding though.
Good luck!
Wasters (previously known as Fodders during the game's development) are a new enemy in Dead Space 3, and the very first you'll come across in the game during the Prologue. These enemies wield two axes, hatchets or crowbars and move very quickly. It is recommended that you attempt this on Casual difficulty as it takes at least three hits to kill one even on Casual. You must first dismember its arms, then pick up the axe/hatchet/crowbars with Kinesis and launch it back at them. It's recommended that you soften the enemy up a little first with 1-2 hits in the chest before you throw the axe. You can upgrade your Kinesis damage at a Suit Kiosk but I have not seen any significant improvement even with full upgrades.

Do not confuse these opponents with “spanners” - they DO NOT count!!!
In single player and in "soor" - everything works! But don't forget that the ax disappears over time!
PS. The ax “DOES NOT kill” the enemy the first time, even on easy difficulty!
The principle is the following - we weaken the enemy - we shoot off the hand and finish off the enemy by throwing an ax at him! I’m still in the process of completing this “trophy”, but I failed a couple out of 30!
EXACTLY in the 6th, because It works out faster and more conveniently there. The author of the video makes 4 kills with axes at a time (and this is VERY not easy in other locations) in a narrow passage, where the enemies do not attack in a crowd, but go one by one. You can get it in half an hour maximum (with “exit and save” and “continue from last checkpoint”)
