How to unlock the Supercharger achievement in Dead Space 3 - Definitive Guide

Hi Guys

Here is my Solution for this Achievement. I show you the Singleplayer way (I do this in Co-op but my Partner do nothing!)

With a Partner is quite easier but solo it is doable.

There are 3 dispenser Boxes on the Wall, you need all 3 for the Achievement.

The Steps are:

1. Use Kinesis to open / Release a dispenser Box
2. Stasis the Reactor
3. Grab the Mine / Spheric
4. Throw this into one of the 3 Reactor Holes
5. On the Ground now 3 yellow cooling Objects
6. Destroy by shooting all of this 3
7. Repeat Step 1-6 2 Times

My Video below has in the right lower Corner a Timecode for better Visibility the 90sec Timer and Progress with the 3 dispenser Box / Reactor.

Regards

This achievement may take a bit of practise its all down to learning the method and remember stick it on casual mode to make it a walk in the park.

I did this in coop so lets consider this a guide for all the coop players out there.

All you need to do is grab the orbs with your kenesis and throw them into the reactor while it is being hit with stasis, then shoot the yellow vents on the floor below you method as follows.

There are 4 massive Cysts in the room that fire homing bombs. You can get them out of the way before the timer starts. They won't die right away, though. As long as you pour a generous amount of ammo into each one before you hit the ON button, they will all die at this point.

1. Have one person as the thrower and the other as the stasis guy ( I was the stasis guy)
2. Try to stasis the reactor at a good time so your friend can throw the object into the core (it has 3 levels to it so you have plenty of choice on where to throw)
3. You need to do this three times and shoot the yellow vents below that stick out. There is always three vents I believe.
4. When you shoot the final 3 vents the achievement will unlock!

I have a video below showing this all being done just takes a bit of practise and speed. Good luck guys!

Don't start a guide with "This isn't too hard" - people looking here are obviously struggling and it doesn't help one bit

Added your comment to my solution but I don't recall them being a problem but whatever some players might have worse luck than us against them.

If you use the Devil Horns. You only have to shoot each vent once. Took me about 20 seconds to do this using that.

The Devil Horns definitely made it easy. I was surprised to see the achievement pop after only having to shoot each vent twice. (I was on pure survival difficulty.)

Immediately after finishing your fight with the heretic leader you will enter an elevator. As you exit you will find yourself in the reactor room. Carver will then direct you to your left along the cat walk where you will find what looks like a small generator and a computer monitor. You can't miss it as it is part of the story.

The timer for the achievement will begin as soon as you activate it. There are dispensers along the walls that will give you power cores. The best position to take is to the immediate left of a core dispenser as you should have a good view of all three vents as they appear and will not have to move much in order to get a clear shot. To save time you should kinesis the dispenser open and turn around and stasis the reactor to slow it down. By this time when you turn around the core will be available. Grab it with kinesis and fire it into the reactor. It will then proceed to overload and the reactor's yellow vents will open up to release the built up energy. It is during this phase that you must shoot all three vents that appear below you.

I personally found it best to use the equalizer and an upgraded pulse rifle on the vents. A grenade launcher secondary weapon function should also make short work of the vents. If you are quick enough you will only have to repeat this process three times. The achievement will pop immediately upon the reactor going critical. You can reload the last checkpoint and it will be right as you exit the elevator. You should be able to get the achievement within two or three attempts. Good luck!

When you get to the reactor in chapter 3, you have 90 seconds to start it up. Zero gravity will kick in, so launch yourself off the ground and you will notice yellow pods on the wall. These go from red to blue, so kinesis the blue ones to release a mine. Stasis the reactor and launch the first mine into the glowing centre. At this point the vents will pop open on the bottom, (there huge glowing crystals) shoot this to trigger the next mine opening. Repeat, the second time there will be two. Beware of the enemies, if your having a hard time, dont forget to reorient yourself with RB, and if your still having trouble, drop the difficulty to easy.

At the end of chapter A3, right after you deal with the cult leader and head up the elevator you will encounter a reactor that needs to be charged. You will activate zero gravity and see a reactor in the middle of said area. Use kinesis to open one of the 3 valves on the edge of the area. Release it and stasis the reactor. Now use kinesis to throw the bomb towards the reactor when its weakpoint is showing. This will release “tubes” on the bottom to rise up which you have to shoot. If you are fast enough you will only have to do this twice. Having the Devil Horns can make this much easier as well or at least having a powerful waepon. If you have a co-op partner you can do this much quicker. You can find co-op partners >here<. If you mess up you can always reload the checkpoint or replay chapter A3.

Here is a video guide to help you (Credits to 360GameTV for the video):

The trophy is very easy. We turn on the reactor and immediately take off. We immediately shoot stasis into the reactor and turn to release the ball. It flies out, grab it and throw it into any of the three reactor holes. After being hit, three yellow coolers will come out of the floor, shoot them immediately. So, as soon as we shot the last one, we fly to the left to the next pillar with the ball. Without reaching it, we repeat the entire procedure. Two balls are enough for everything

There is no need to go through anything again, if you think that you have not met the allotted time, feel free to press “start”, then “checkpoint”, and start again from the beginning of the reactor startup. Do not open the round door of the “ejection compartment”, otherwise an autosave will occur.

a small addition - the 90 second counter turns on when you press the button and turn off gravity and ends when the last pipe is shot (a note about the new task will appear on the screen).

PS, just like with Bossovsky pipe markers, it’s easier to shoot from an automatic weapon than from a powerful, large-caliber, slow-firing barrel

The most difficult trophy in the expansion if you don’t know how to get it.

If you suddenly feel that you are running out of time , the solution is this : kill yourself on the cysts (monsters spitting yellow tadpoles on the walls) or on the reactor. Then the game will load you into a room with this very reactor .
