How to unlock the The Professor achievement in Dead Space 3 - Definitive Guide

I've made a video series for all 257 collectibles in the game. They are listed in chronological order, and show as much detail for every collectible without wasting your time. Commentary is also provided for further clarification.

Note: The Collectibles can be quite confusing. For example, you can find collectibles during Chapter 3 & Chapter 7, but they will count towards Chapter 4, so you may want to keep these in mind, and take a look at your in-game progress every now and again. If you do follow the videos though, you will not encounter any problems.

DLC Note: If you've played the "Awakened" DLC, you will need to attain any collectibles in those levels to be able to unlock this achievement. For a DLC collectibles walkthrough, go HERE.

Question: Is it possible to unlock this achievement without collecting the stuff from coop-only missions if I play on classic mode (which doesn't have coop)?

No - you can't access the related areas unless you are in co-op.

In case anybody was wondering, you can access the side missions and co-op missions after the game in the re-play menus.

Beware that if you get the Awakened DLC you have to collect those artifacts as well to unlock this achievement. Same goes for logs and weapon parts achievements.

Actually, maybe not. Achievement popped when I found the last Alien artifact.

Online Trophy. You must collect all Artifacts in a single save file, including those from Optional and Co-op Missions. Collectibles carry over to New Game+ but NOT on Classic/Pure Survival/Hardcore as these are separate save files. Collectibles can be picked up by any player and it will register for both players in a Co-op Game. Refer to the Collectible Guide for the locations of the artifacts.

If you purchased the Awakened DLC, then to get all the collecting achievements you will need to collect all the things scattered throughout the DLC.
