Those orange exploding tanks count too. In Ch 1 when getting the replacement board I killed most of them in there shooting those exploding tanks on the walkway and got it to pop there

This one is bugged for me for some reason. I'll get the one for 500 limbs soon, but this one never popped. Probably gonna take another playthrough, huh?

If you don’t get this achievement, then you’re obviously playing Dead Space wrong. Cut off their limbs! You should find you get this within the first hour or two.

Easy trophy, just use the Plasma Cutter and shoot the arms and legs of Necromorphs. You will unlock this trophy before the end of Chapter 1 if you aim for the limbs. Also note that the alternate fire of the Plasma Cutter rotates the weapon 90 degrees, thus allowing you to cut off legs more easily.
