Salvage the Singularity Core from the USM Valor, and escape with your life.
Salvage the Singularity Core from the USM Valor, and escape with your life.
On my YouTube channel I've created a gameplay walkthrough video covering chapter 9 of this game.
Chapter 9: Dead on Arrival - In this video Isaac has to make his way through the USM Valor, which has crashed into the Ishimura, to recover its singularity core. Shortly after boarding we learn from Hammond that the Valor is carrying a twelve-megaton warhead, adding a secondary mission objective to get rid of the nuclear warhead before something can set it off. In the torpedo bay you must be careful not to do anything that can cause an explosion as this results in instant death. Pushing through the fire obstacles in the engine room allows us to restore power to the elevators so we can get to the singularity core. Once we grab the singularity core the Valor starts to fall apart. The rest of our time on the ship is a mad dash to the exit before the it is destroyed. Our next goal is to install our singularity core on the shuttle so we can make our escape which leads us to the Crew Deck.
In this video we find the Shooting Gallery, pick up Large Med Pack schematics, and die 3 times due to explosions we set off in the torpedo bay (Total Death Count: 10).
If you found the video helpful, please consider giving a like and/or subscribe. This is a small channel on YouTube and any support is greatly appreciated.
In this video the shooting gallery is found at 14:30 with the achievement popping at 17:25 (recorded on Xbox). Just activate the console, work your way through the range, and survive the Necromorph attach to get the Front Toward Enemy trophy.

This trophy will unlock upon completion of Chapter 9. See Epic Tier 3 Engineer for tips.

For those who cannot pass the part where you need to throw radio balls overboard.
I did this: first (i.e., before I opened the gate to space), I collected all the balls (6 of them) in one pile right on this gate to space. Then I opened these gates (if anyone doesn’t know how, you need to shoot 6 of these things around the perimeter of the gate) and immediately threw all 6 things overboard one by one. Then I’ll go through the door of the warship and that’s it. There weren't even monsters. if they interfere, you can beat them. but I just stopped them with stasis
